I've ridden nothing but latex tubes in light-casing or hand-glued tires on four bikes for the past 10 or so years. Over the past couple of years, haven't been able to keep my latex tubes inflated every week, and found out the hard way that repeated flatting and re-inflating latex tubes causes the glue at the valve stem to give up.First tried a urethane tube on my road bike rear. I was set back by the plastic valve stem, and not being able to remove a valve core to add Stan's for a quick flat repair. However, the urethane tubes will hold pressure for months, and if it's true they self-seal, don't need the Stan's, anyway.Easier to install than any tube, with the exception of making sure the bead gets under the tube on both sides of the wheel I'll upgrade my spares. This past weekend, made my first ride with two urethane tubes on my rando, which had been sitting idle with two latex tubes leaking at the valve stem. No chatter, no shock - it's distributed through the carcass, and they don't have to warm up like latex tubes.I'll be converting the rest of my wheels to urethane tubes, though it's an investment...

solid option.
Installing and setting the tubes is easy as a regular tube, when they work. The valve is loose and in 3 out of 4 tubes it came out before install; no biggie so far, I've used tubes with removable valve cores and setting it up back was easy. Now, the issue is, these valves lose air overnight. you can get your bike ready at 11pm and by 6 am will be flat. I pumped and ride these just to confirm on my way back that was slowly losing air. Did a test around the compound and it was clear the only point leaking air was the valve, no matter how do you set it up back in place, still leaked air.Is a shame for I had high hopes on this tech and I trust the brand. Not sure if it's a batch issue for this product but there's no way to contact the manufacturer, so asking for a refund.Going with regular tubes that are under 1/4th of the price for what seems to be similar performance.EDIT:Contacted Schwalbe Customer support and they provided working replacements for this defective product. Tubes rolls smooth and don't lose air.

Super Light, Packs Small, Run Lower Pressure
I run tubeless on all but my 'climbing' bike which weighs in at just UCI legal. I've been wanting to try these Aerothan since they came out - lighter, tougher than tubes & latex, good rolling resistance. I have the 'race' 23-28 tubes and they weighed in at 46g, not the 41 on the box - not sure if it's just the one I weighed, didn't bother with the others. But even still, 2 tubes on the bike and one spare in a pack at 46g cuts slightly more than 1/3 of a lb from the standard Schwalbe (101g) - not insignificant and pretty easy weigh dump. I wasn't sure what pressure to run these but the Schwalbe website advised to inflate to the same pressure as tubeless. I was using between 95-100 so started at 85 and am down closer to 80 lbs. The SRAM pressure calculator indicates a bit lower but I'm not quite there. Have several hundred fast miles on the tubes so far and they perform well. The lowered pressure does take some edge off of road harshness.

TOTAL FAILURE
I've been using Tubolitos for several years now, and I decided to try two of these Aerothons this season. BIG MISTAKE! The rear punctured and I patched it using the recommended Park Tool GP-2 patch, alcohol wipe and all...failure on the first ride today . . . AT LEAST THE TUBOLITO TUBES PATCH WELL! What good is a tube if it can't be repaired? If you want to save weight and room in the seat bag, and you're willing to spending the cash anyway, the Tubolito is the better option as they're patchable...I know, as I have three Tubolitos with at least two patches on each one (Tubolito patches as well as Park Tool GP-2)

Best Tube EVER, Zero Tubeless Drama
Just say NO to Tubeless -- Put these in your tire, and enjoy a few seasons without flats, constant refills, pump fondling, and nasty liquid Latex lumps.Buy them, if they suit your set-up and this way, I wont need to pull off a my mountain descent to fix your "tubeless" set-up with my spare tube.Best Tube EVER, makes most Tubeless set-ups seem foolish.Sorry Stan.

Frustrated with the Valve Core
This would be an awesome product if the valve core had better threads. I've ridden thousands of miles on my bicycles without tire issues, but I was flat within 6 miles with these tubes. I managed to get the core back in the stem and inflate the tire while sitting on the side of the road, but I have had the valve core pull out when I remove the pump. For as much as these tubes cost, they should have designed them with a more reliable valve core. The fine nylon threads in the nylon stem are prone to stripping when tightened with 2 fingers.

Light and compact
Bought initially as a lightweight, space-saving spare tube for the seat bag, Aeothan was perfect. I used it for 650bx47 and 700x35, and they really made packing smaller possible and shaved a ton of weight (+100g, IIRC). When repeated attempts to make Herse Extralight tubeless reliably airtight failed, I installed Aerothan tubes, and if the puncture resistance proves to be as claimed, Aerothan may be a good alternative to tubeless because they're otherwise light and have low rolling resistance. Feel is more tubed than tubeless, but honestly, it’s a small thing anyway, so no demerits there. Recommended!

Great tube
Great tube. It is exactly as expected. Not a counterfeit.I'm switching over from latex tubes to PTU tubes for part-time gravel riding. I used to be tubeless but I got tired of cleaning and refilling with sealants.

Leaked at valve
Used as a spare. However when miles from anywhere fixing a puncture on the side of the road the tube leaked at the valve seat. I would not relay on this tube as I found to my cost. I’m am sure this new technology will be good at some point but they need to improve the valve seal. Would not buy this product again.
