Q: how big is each individual pierogi slot?

About 3”. I’d say each individual pieroha is about like Mrs Ts or any other commercially made pierohi.

Q: how does the big pierogi work?

First you lay a sheet of dough over top of it, then you put filling in each of the hole areas, finally put another sheet of dough over top of that and roll with a rolling pin and the pierogies will fall out.

Q: What metal is the tray made out of?

The metal tray does NOT come with this. It is only the pierogi cutter. I used it once and decided I did not like it. It doesn't work as well as it is advertised (in my opinion).
