Review: Our Dairy Free Go To - Being lactose intolerant is difficult during holidays. As a personal trainer, nutrition coach and mom of two girls finding clean lactose free icing can be difficult. Many of the big brands that are lactose free are loaded with chemicals. Miss Jones does an excellent job utlizing all simple natural organic ingredients. This icing has been our staple for many years making delicious birthday cakes for my daughters. It has been the icing to our annual tradition of making holiday cookies. We are so appreciative. The icing does have coconut oil so if you are baking in a cool home or a cold season I do recommend heating the icing for about 5 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until you get the icing to the desired consistency. Be sure to fully remove the foil wrapper before heating. This icing is not overly sweet and is a great compliment to the Simple Mills cake/cupcake mixes. I do not recommend having your delicious creations in direct sunlight or in an overly warm environment. Otherwise you will have a melting mess. I do recommend refrigerating your creations during the warmer months and pulling them out 30-45 minutes before you want to enjoy them.

Best frosting in a tub. Not overly sweet. Good ingredients. Not 100 ingredients! Organic. And best of all, kids love it!!! Several people’s review stated that it’s grainy which is the coconut oil. Simply warm it up per instructions on back and it’s very smooth. The grainy texture didn’t bother us but I warmed it for my son’s birthday cupcakes. Everyone loved it!
