Works great to get the job done quickly and easily.
Tool works great for the specific task it is designed for. Since these pumps last so long, the plastic retaining rings are nearly impossible to remove without the specialized tool. My only reservation would be with the longevity of the tool in a professional setting. I used a 1/2” drive breaker bar with 6” extension and it deformed the tool slightly after one use. Not totally unexpected due to its aluminum construction however I was surprised to see it after one use.

The tool is very sturdy, compact
I was changing a fuel pump for a volvo xc90 and was not able to find this tool anywhere. Without this tool, I wouldn't have been able to fix the vehicle(that car was stuck at our shop for 4 days prior to purchasing this tool). The tool is very sturdy, compact, and quite frankly, looks nice. If any of you mechanics loves working on volvos(who am I kidding, no one does), then this would be a perfect tool for you.

Much better than the factory tool
I purchased this tool to remove a fuel pump on a Volvo XC90. The book time to remove the pump was something like 10 hours. With this tool I got the job done in about 2.5 hours. The reason why book time was so high was that if you used the factory tool you had to remove a lot more stuff. This tool has a lower profile and you can get in that tight space without removing all the other stuff. If you ever change one of these fuel pumps you will know what I am talking about.

Solid fuel pump retainer nut removal tool
Great tool, completely engages all of the tabs on the fuel pump and sender unit lock rings. This is a must if you are working on a 2003 vintage Volvo as the lock rings accumulate slot of grit and grime; making them difficult to remove. This tool makes it easy - no broken parts and no skinned knuckles.

Works
Works as needed. A bit expansive for what it is in my mind. But that’s the going rate for this tool. I used a large flathead screwdriver and hammer to do final install as once you hook back up fuel lines, there is no way use this tool.

Worked perfectly. Made the fuel pump replacement job so much easier. Not worth the time and effort to build a tool out of PVC pipe. The retaining rings for the fuel pump and sender unit were a bit stuck after 12 years, so a fair amount of torque was needed to break them free. Another tool that did not engage perfectly with all the tabs like this tool did would likely have broken tabs and possibly the retaining rings.

It's the best at what it does...
It's a very specific specialty tool that does only what it's made to do, but does it flawlessly. Prior to buying this I rented a universal, adjustable tool twice - broke some plastic fins the first time. It's not "the only tool you'll ever need" or anything like that, but when you need it (because you have to remove a sender or fuel pump from a post-1999 Volvo with a plastic gas tank), nothing else works even close to as well.
