Lego compatible - few #6 and #8 Bricks
I am a Legos fan and have made many sets of various designs. I bought 3 of these DIY sets to build an a 4’x4’ fort exterior wall to protect the ‘City’ people from a Dinosaur invasion with my grandson. It will require 10,000 pieces or more. Because of cost of buying Lego’s for this I opted to try a clone brand. What I found. Before that, I do pay attention to reviews but learned many are irrelevant. The good:1. Price. DYI Toys Building Block sets are an excellent and economical choice.2. The pieces are quality made and fit Legos perfectly.3. 16 different piecesNeutral:1. To many of secondary pieces. In order to make to this an attractive product with 1000 plus pieces an abundance of small pieces and too few bricks (see photos).ConcludingI do recommend using he product. However, if you’re looking for more if the larger selection of bricks I no not recommend buying. Regarding the cover photo, I have no idea if this set is designed to built it. That photo had no bearing on my decision to buy this set.I hope this review is helpful.

Ivory Not White
Maybe it doesn’t matter to the end buyer but this is for a specific project. It will do but it would help if items had an accurate description. These are not a cool or neutral white as described - they are ivory or more precisely cream colored. Again. This isn’t an indication of the quality of product- which is fine - merely a word of added clarity for those doing a project where this detail is critical.

Fabulous value for the money
As an adult LEG0 lover who is working on a full medieval village, these bricks are a fantastic value. I can see myself buying more, for all the city walls I want to make. I like the variety of sizes & shapes, they work well for me. They fit well with the name-brand bricks too.My only complaint is they do not have this set in more colors!!! I would love to be able to but it in dark gray, and brown.

Super pleased
Just like the big name brand, can't tell them apart. Good value. Really excited to see these when they came.

A bit loose
There are lots of normal bricks and flat pieces. I got lots of small narrow flats. They are easy to build and easy to take apart. The fit is looser than other blocks I have, including the name brand and some generic ones. In the picture the left side is this one and the right side is name brand (a bit worn). The horizontal gap seems bigger, the sides a bit uneven, and it takes what feels like about half the force to pull apart. Also the edges seem a bit rounded/beveled, so it's easier to insert a fingernail or separator. There's no way these will get permanently stuck together - in fact, I could organize these pieces by stacking them together by type and take pieces when needed, even with the flats. This may be a good thing if you don't like the snug fit of name brand, need to take apart your builds often and don't need them to withstand much force.

AWESOME!! A massive mix of all kinds of white bits and pieces
Important to know that there’s no way you could build the models featured in the images. That aside, it’s fantastic quality, a massive amount and so much creative fun - fits with all the pieces I already have.Iit’s a complete mix of pieces include the flat ones in sizes 1,2,3,4+ regular blocks 1x1,2,3,4+, and some regular 2x2,3,4s., then also the triangle shaped ones in various sizes, both upright and opposite orientations.Definitely recommend, no question.I would have liked to have built that model featured in the images though!Personally

Good quality, good variety.
This is for the DIY Building Block 1500 Light GreyBest quality plastic, some give to it, not too sharp. Average quality control(slight flashing on multiple pieces some weak connection). Comes with one rather good part separator. And for a brick and plate count(it's not really random, but the numbers have a very high variance and I think is measured ultimately by weight, not count):Bricks: 2x8 22x4 522x3 352x2 702x2 L shape 402x2 to 1x2 slope 331x2 to 1x1 slope 561x8 21x4 211x2 961x1 447Total Bricks: 854Plates:2x6 102x2 92x2 L shape 331x8 71x6 241x4 1151x3 2611x2 397Total Plates: 856Total pieces:1710The variance means you're probably not going to get what I did. On the other hand, either I counted wrong or the black set(review pending a recount) had many more, so I get the feeling they err on the side of giving you more 1x1 bricks and 1x2 plates. Not enough for the sheet of "inspiration" with the buildings shown in the images, so if you're hoping to build any of those... this isn't what you want. You want a solid neutral color standard bricks and plates, this is what you want.

Honestly Perfect
Used only 1/3 of the pieces and built this, I get that it doesn’t look impressive, but Lego would easily charge you $100 for a build this small, and for how much variety in pieces and amount you get, this is excellent tbh. But I will agree the amount of small flat pieces is surprising, however you can just stack them and make them into full pieces and build whatever you want!
