Worked Perfectly
My house was built in 1988 and the full bath and shower that we had both had become difficult to turn on or off, with the full bath actually suddenly developing a small drip. I bought two of these, one for each of the two bathrooms and they worked flawlessly. The shower and the full bath are now ridiculously easy to turn on and off, adjust, etc. Easy to install -- take off the knob and finish, remove the retainer clip with either a small flathead or a pair of long-nose pliers, use an extraction tool or adjustable pliers to pull out the old cartridge, and then slap in the new one (which I would recommend putting some silicon grease on).For anyone wondering if you should get the 1225 or the 1222 -- if your sink/shower/bath knob pulls out *and* rotates, it's 1225 (the 1220 is the older version and can be swapped out with the 1225). If your sink/show/bath knob *only* rotates, it's 1222.

Best one yet...love it
Moen cartridges lasted for years with clean-up and replacing o-rings. A few years ago they changed manufacturer and since then the cartridges leak after a while. I couldn't find the right o-rings to make them last. This cartridge is a beauty. If you need help installing go to Youtube. My suggestions:turn water offhave a puller handy, the cartridge might be really stuckremove the cartridge and remember how it was installed.clean out the opening with steel wool if it has calcium caked on it.Put in new cartridge, add some grease or silicone to make it easier to pull it out next time.Make sure the line notch on the stem is facing up (hot and cold will be correct)Big hint...make sure the ears are pointing up 12 to 6 position. If they are at the 9 and 3 position you won't be able to get the retainer ring in.

Get this one, DO NOT GET THE MOEN
I recently purchased the Moen due to the reviews. Moen is a trusted brand and that's the original valve that was in our shower when we moved in 2 years ago. I first replaced the valve with an original Moen part that had Moen markings and came in the hard plastic Moen packaging. The leak was actually worse with the new valve installed. I spent several hours cleaning, reinstalling at a hundred eighty degrees, then at 90 and then turning it into place once installed and trying to diagnose other possible issues for the leak. I finally gave up and just decided to return the new Moen as defective. I found this DuoRing valve with really good reviews, that stated that there was two more seals then the original (Moen) design. I believe the two seals really make a difference. This completely stopped the leak from our shower. Definitely recommend this which was slightly cheaper then the Moen. After researching a few reviews I believe that the manufacturing process has changed with the Moen product or I may have just received a lemon. If you are a die-hard name-brand fan go for the Moen, but get it Prime and while you're at it you may as well order this one prime as well. If the Moen fails upon installation throw in the new Duo ring and return the faulty Moen Hassel free.
