dont forget to order the base/ neutral for this as well they go together
just know when you order this you have to have the slushie base or sweetener before this will actually taste correct

Unpleasant flavor and it requires purchasing another ingredient.
** We used this syrup in a slushy maker, not as a shaved ice topping. The flavor on it's own is very tart and just not good. It does say in small print in the description that it is to be used with the neutral base. It does not make sense to spend $30 on this syrup and then at least that much to buy the neutral base when you can pick a different brand which does not require any extra ingredients other than water. We did try to use our own simple syrup, but you do have to make sure that the sugar content is high enough for the slush machine or it may damage it and it was a lot of trial and error to make it palatable.

Good but know it needs syrup!
This stuff is delicious! It tastes the same as when I was a kid! However!!!! Please know its sour with the slush syrup! That you must buy separately. So this starts to add up.

I can’t find slush puppies anymore near me, but I do have a ninja slushi and use this in it! The exact same thing I used to pump into my drink as a kid.

Horrible taste, way too sour, not just “tart”. SOUR. I was looking forward to a cherry slushy. I WAS GREATLY DISAPPOINTED. I was making a 16oz. Cherry slushy. I used have of a box of Domino sugar, and it was still too sour. Do Not Buy!!! But Amazon was great, they refunded my money. It pays to shop with Amazon.

The flavor squirts should only be used with the neutral base
The Slush Puppy Flavor Squirt line is designed to be used in conjunction with the the Slush Puppy neutral base. I used to run a Slush Puppy pro model at my parent’s grocery store. I know for a fact the the neutral base, which is what you pour into the slush machine, or Ninja Slushi, if you own one, is clear, but cloudy, and contains all the sweetness, from the sugar and the corn syrup. The flavor squirt is added into the cup before you dispense the frozen slushy base on top. The flavor squirt is just that, flavor. If you try it straight, it is bitter. But, mixed with the slushy base, it’s perfect! As an analogy, ever taste vanilla extract from the bottle? Pretty horrible, right. But, put a teaspoon of that into your cake or cookie recipes, it’s heavenly! Now, I know that the neutral base is kind of pricey, but the Slush Puppy neutral base makes gallons of the stuff when you mix it with water. Also, there are clone recipes for the Slushie base that you can make at home.
