SP Bel-Art Spinbar Teflon Polygon Magnetic Stirring Bar; 40 x 8mm, White, Pivot Ring (F37122-0040)

I bought this because I wanted to stir more liquid using my magnetic stir plate. It's too big for the one I bought, so I can't actually use this, but I can tell from the thickness of the coating, and the heft of the thing... It's good. I actually considered buying another magnetic stir plate with a larger magnet base so I could use this, then I realized that's silly.Just make sure your stirrer can actually use a bar this big. Once you do, get this one.

I got the big one, was hoping it would mix thick VG for e-juice. I can't even get that far. This thing doesn't even spin just sitting directly on the plate. Maybe its too big for my stirrer, and if that is the issue then i'm sorry for the review, but beware....I have a normal sized plate and this thing won't come close to spinning without flying off, at any speed.

Very weak magnet it slips off metal when picking out of solution with strip stick doesn't really stick more does it spin hardly it skips in the liquid really slow when stirrer is working, I put a more expensive model and had no issue, I guess it goes to show its sometimes better to spend a little more for quality than spending less for a bar that barely works cause of weak magnet.

The 50x8 mm polygon stirrer performed OK at low RPM, but lost sync on higher RPM.A same size octagonal stirrer from Fisher Labs did not have that problem, and could remain in sync at higher RPM.

Make sure to take a ruler out so you can see how long they are before you order...

Product itself is fine. It is now a paperweight only because it didn't work for my application. But I stress, the bar is fine and spun well on my plate.

Has a tendency to throw if you do not get the speed just right on your stir plate. But once I dial in your speed, this thing creates a lot of movement!
