Avid Bicycle Brake Bleed Kit for All SRAM Series

I've now bled 6 brakes with this kit. Results are better than I get from my local bike shop because with this kit you can use the suction from the syringes to pull all the air out of the brake fluid. All the adapters fit both SRAM and Hope brakes very well. The only issues I had were my own fault, accidentally hitting the brakes with the pads out and dropping out a piston. Watch a video or two specific to your brakes before attempting to bleed them for the first time!

This kit does not have the correct fitting for some newer Sram brake systems. It only comes with two fittings, which do not work on my calipers. The documentation clearly shows this, yet the product description says, "for all SRAM series." Very disappointed as I had to stop in the middle of a brake bleed.Update: After my review, the seller promptly reached out to offer a full refund and the correct fitting. They quickly sent me a new bleed kit with the proper fitting, which solved my issues. I'm updating based on the great customer service.

I thought I'd take a chance on this inexpensive kit and to my surprise the quality and functionality is terrific! I've used brake bleed kits where the syringes were SO stiff you could hardly get the fluid to flow back and forth between them (like SRAM requires) making it a real pain in the butt to bleed the brakes.My only minor complaint would be the red triangular shaped "nut" that slides onto the SRAM bleed nipple and is used to open/close the bleed port; when you attempt to push the nipple into the port and snap the needle into place the triangle simply pushes down (towards the caliper) and off the nipple, making it entirely useless. I ended up taking the assembly apart and sliding the triangle onto the nipple from the opposite end, thus making insertion much easier and withdrawal from the port a pain (but I prefer it that way). I hope that makes sense, and if you purchase one of these kits to use with SRAM brakes you'll quickly see what I mean.Overall, a terrific value I'd recommend to anyone needing a versatile brake bleed kit.One last note: if you're working with SRAM brakes buy Prestone DOT 5.1 brake fluid from any auto parts retailer, it will save you a BUNCH of $$$$'s over what you find when searching for "SRAM Fluid", which is exactly the same.

The product had all parts. I was looking for the correct bleed screws and this product had the correct size.

I'd give this five stars but I received two of the bleed screws for the cylinder (upper) but not one for the port on the caliper. I was not able to fully bleed the system and replace fluid. I'd have given five stars otherwise. I can't find a way to contact the seller and have the right part sent.

These syringes do an amazing job bleeding sram brakes. I used the bleeding edge tool and it’s just as good as the SRAM kit.Couple pro tips:1. Make sure you assemble the syringes using the pics as a guide.2. After you bleed the brakes, lodge a 4mm allen key in the slot in the caliper where the rotor spins. Close the caliper bleeding port and remove caliper syringe.Pump the lever until the pistons go all the way out, then lube the sides of the pistons with dot fluid all the way around while they are sticking out. Press them back in with the blunt end of a butter knife and clean thoroughly with alcohol.Then you can bleed the lever by pumping the brakes many times to draw out any remaining bubbles. After this, remove the lever syringe, and close the lever bleeding port. Clean the lever with alcohol and your sram brakes will feel amazing.

Great value and has all you need to do the job of bleeding SRAM hydraulic disk brakes.

Good value. Does the job and will reusable.I followed the steps as per bleed procedure after writing them down in the proper sequence on a sheet of paper. Got it the first time perfect both on the rear and front systems. Go slow.All gear is reusable probably several times. Washed them with solvent right after use.
