Are these drops preservative free?

No ... Alcon Sustaine Vials (single use...actually can get 3-4 doses out of one vial, as the vials do recap ..must use within 24 hrs) are preservative free.

The label says "product of china" but the johnson & johnson is located in santa ana, ca. so is the product made in china or made in california?

I've bought this both from Retail and from Amazon. It's the exact same product, the labeling suggests its made in China, but sold in the US by Johnson.

why can't this be returned; found a much better pricre?

USUALLY MEDICAL ITEMS ARE NEVER RETURNABLE.....(PUBLIC SAFETY REASONS).....
