Gecko-Loc Rustproof Black Heavy Duty Suction Cup Bathroom Storage Basket Shelf Shower Caddy Stainless Steel

I received a used item with the plastic discs adhered to the suction cup. Had a response immediately from customer service and received a replacement part within a few days. Unfortunately it would not suction to my tile. I have other (similar) suction cup hooks and soap trays that stick but this corner one didn’t work.

This basket fits perfectly in a niche in my shower wall and holds shampoo, shaving cream, etc. This is my second purchase of this product; the first one lasted about four years before it started to lose its grip from time to time, which is good considered our hard water environment (one of the worst in the country). The metal did not corrode, which was impressive. The adhesive disks work well when installing over grout lines; i had to use a razor blade to get the prior ones off the tile. AN INSTALLATION HINT: get the suction cups on the basket as indicated by the indentations, then attach them to the adhesive disks, remove the plastic on the adhesive disks and press in place. The adhesive disks are very difficult to move if you don't get them located where they need to be to accommodate the basket and this gets them aligned.

I kept ordering suction shelves/baskets and sure enough, they didn't stay up....not a single one... This one had excellent reviews and people provided specific information and pics (sorry, don't have pics)....And they were right. on. target! I followed the directions: thoroughly cleaned off the area where I planned to attach it, stuck it in the corner of my shower, it's got PLENTY of weight in it, and it has NEVER budged. ... Since early 2020!! Fantastic product!! Fabulous! Just follow the directions and make sure you clean off the surface where you want to stick/hang it really well with alcohol wipes BEFORE you try to install it. You want a squeaky clean surface for best results. I just read a review where someone said not to waste your money.....I was shocked!! I went through about 3-5 of these things in various other brands, but ONLY the Gekco-Loc does what it says and what I wanted a shower basket to do all along, and it is well made. No rust at all! Not a speck! I'm actually on here to order a second one for the other corner of my shower! Very honest advertising and excellent product! (And I am honestly reporting my experience with this product which has been no problems. ever. not a one. not at all. I LOVE this basket!! It was worth every penny.) Happy Shopping! :)

I wanted something that consolidated as much of our shower storage as possible to keep the shower clutter free and this did the trick. I paired it with one more soap holder of the same style and they match well and look streamlined. This was easy to install and so far has not loosened or fallen down and I have pumps inside the basket that I do not take out to dispense (so I put some pressure on the basket at every use). Razors do fall out of the little hooks pretty easily but they're small disposable razors which is probably why. This was pricey for what it is (I've seen similar items at home stores for about half the price but not when I needed it, naturally), but it suits my purposes so I'm glad to have it.

After posting it, a friend recommended that I moisten the suction pad that wouldn't stick to the wall and try to attach it again. Unbelievably, it worked perfectly. The shelf is secure and functional. If you buy this product, don't give up. Where there's a will, there's a way.I wanted to contact Gecko-Loc directly with my problem but I was always directed to Amazon. Here goes: this shelf would be perfect for my needs IF both of the suction cups would stick to the wall! Before I selected/ordered this shelf I read all the Amazon reviews and customer questions. I was aware of the "tricks" that others used to make the suction cups work. I thought I was ready. Wrong. First, I attached it to my shower wall without using the discs conveniently supplied. I got used to hearing the sound of my shampoo, soap, etc. hitting the shower floor when one of the suction cups became disengaged after an hour or so. It was always just one. The next day I applied the discs provided to my shower wall and waited 24 hours before trying to reattach the caddy to them. It seemed like a solid connection. No. One of the suction cups became unattached after a while. It always feels strongly attached at first. This has happened repeatedly. BTW I stopped putting my shower items on the caddy. I just left them on the floor so the failure had nothing to do with the weight applied. I give up. I was going to take the whole thing off the wall but one of the cups ironically is like it's bolted to the wall. So I'm trying again today. Wish me luck.
