Love the book and LOVE the author. This is good for a pre-marital read. I read it 7 years into marriage and it was extremely insightful into types of relationships and how you can slip into and out of different "levels." This book is more of an interesting read where his book "His Needs, Her Needs is more of an educational read with deep information. :)

I thought I was picking up a dating book but this is very broad covering aspects of both dating and marriage. It is very simple, possibly overly so, and yet it is still extremely helpful. The idea that commitment level and problem solving strategies are the two most important factors in a relationship was really helpful and I am already passing on his advice as well as looking forward to applying bit in my next relationship.

I can't believe the author has taken things that seem so complex and put them so simply! I mean the "why" people behave like this is much deeper.... but what actually happens in so many relationships and what to look for.... Pretty profound!! Saw myself and the others loud and clear this is a must read and reference to get that true relationship you desire! Wow!

This is a well thought out book, which addresses the different levels of relationships and in a very effective and understanding approach.

I read the audiobook, I agree with the other 5 star reviewers. This is the best insight book into dating that I've read and I've read about 15 books on the topic since my divorce of 3.5 years ago. I wish I had read this book early in my marriage too. I just purchased 2 more of the author's books in audiobook form, I'm that impressed with his insights.

Ideal for those in relationships and thinking of marriage. One of the most important books on relationships today. Piratical and accessible too.
