This magnifying glass works well for tiny project. The lighting is good and the structure is sturdy.

I am really surprised at the base that comes with this light. Nice and heavy so that I don't have to use the clamp on base, I have not tried to fully extend the arm but with the base I am able to move it nearer the work and not have to extend like I would from the edge of the table. I wish the light was a little brighter (it is not as bright as a fluorescent) but it is bright enough.

Bought this to aid my wife’s microcrocheting. Something she managed to do just fine prior, though the magnification makes for less eye strain and a need to hunch over. The circular base isn’t the most sturdy and didn’t work out too well with her workspace, ended up having to use the clamp base attached to a lamp pole. The different lighting settings come in handy for the differing amounts of natural light that make it in to our place. As for the “heat/getting warm” that I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews: It’s not bad. Even LEDs still convert a lot of their input energy to heat. Clocked this magnifier at 98 degrees F on the top side; About the same temp as I clocked off an 800 lumen LED in my bathroom. Still way less than the 130F+ I get on the drivers and heatsinks of my LED grow lights or the LED bar on my vehicle that will melt entire blocks of ice from itself in a matter of minutes. Overall, the product does the job it was intended to do

I am able to sit on the couch or at my workspace and see the fine details i am working on.

Works great for painting minifigures. Not too much magnification, good brightness and selection of hue.

I only had this light for one year and it stopped working.

The stand is plastic with some sort of weight inside, it flexes with every movement, and will eventually break. Keep it out of the sunlight (UV), or that time will come sooner than later. The light is adequate for most needs, but I needed to use a secondary light source. I'm considering removing the plastic diffuser to allow direct LED light. Not sure if there is anything better, this was the best value I could find at time of purchase. I think $29 would be a more accurate price, so if you get it on sale...

I build miniature models, and the parts are small. The magnification and bright led lights are perfect and the lens is big enough to work easily. The weighted base works great and adjusts easily to allow me to get in close to the model. This is a great lamp and a good price. the inline control switch is intuitive. The cord could be longer, but it works with a usb extension cable quite well.

Pensé que el aumento de la Lupa sería poco pero me equivoqué las cosas se ven geniales y la Lupa y el brazo se sienten de gran calidad.El único pero que le pongo es que la base para escritorio no es muy estable y que la última articulación hubiera quedado genial si fuera una rótula. Fuera de eso la recomiendo mucho. Fue una excelente compra.

Very pleasant working distance for working on miniature electronic items. The light is good, but the power adapter gets a bit hot.
