Memorex700MB/80-Minute 40x Music CD-R Media (10-Pack with Slim Jewel Cases)

I started transferring my cassette tapes to CDs in the year 2000. I exclusively used Memorex CD-R's. I never had a problem THEN. In the last few years, their quality control has gone down the drain. I have made several combo recordings of operas, which I've now had to redo because some of the tracks were corrupted because of faulty Memorex CD-R's. I told myself that I would only use Verbatim from now on, but last night I found myself listening to a new compilation I had recorded onto a Verbatim CD-R, and there was a major fault on Track 18. How? Because I had used material that I had originally recorded onto a Memorex CD-R and had ripped that into the computer for storage. When I listened to the track straight from the computer, the fault was on the track. I've never had a problem with Verbatim CD-R's; they have always been perfect. I will never buy Memorex again.

For accurate indexing and track labeling, only use blank CDs that are labeled MUSIC. Also, these CDs have a different interior coating for capturing music. Compressed sound (MP3s) need that extra layer for high quality reproduction.

Have all ways used this brand for my audio CD's that I use in my car stereo, have never had one to fail, to me that is a sign of excellence...

Love when the blank CDs come with Jewel Cases. Product is what it is and it does what it is supposed to do. Can't ask for anything more than that.Very Nice!!!
