There’s really not a reason to put one on an aftermarket radio. All your doing is putting in a rca hookup for the amp. Most if not all aftermarket HU’s come with rca hookups now. If you're thinking of adding a sub and amp to your factory stereo look no further this one is for you. Most modern cars especially bmws have factory headunit which have base rolloff which is a feature where when played loud the base rolls off to protect the mid woofers and if you was to add a dedicated mono amplifier and a sub and box you wouldn't get the full potential.
