Excellent display for WFH productivity
While I'm sure it'll work well for gaming, this display excels at productivity enhancement. To be honest, the best option in a 2FD (3840x1080) or 2QHD (5120x1440) display would be a curved screen -- if possible, one with a 1000R curvature. This display is *flat*. Flatter than the Iowa cornfields. That's fine if, like me, you bought it to use as a work from home primary display, a function it accomplishes with aplomb. This puppy gives you the equivalent of two 1920x1080 FHD displays in a single 44 inch (okay, 43.8", happy now?) unit. It's not lightweight, and it's terribly fragile, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep your original packaging and use that if you're planning to transport this display ANYWHERE outside your home. But as far as how it works, it's a winner. The IPS display is clear and bright, with good color reproduction and very little backlight bleed when viewing black background. The best selling point of this monitor? Assuming Amazon hasn't raised the price since I bought mine, they're selling it for the ridiculously low price of $499.99. It MSRP's at $999.99 on Sceptre's own website, so take that for what it's worth.Did I mention that it comes with two HDMI cables and a battery-powered remote? It does. Furthermore, it supports its full resolution at up to 120Hz via HDMI, DP1.4, and (believe it or not) USB-C. And it supports AMD FreeSync Premium. And it's VESA Certified for HDR600. And, oh yeah, if the resolution I mentioned above (3840x1080) hasn't clued you in, its aspect ratio is 32:9.It's a quality monitor that works excellently as a productivity enhancer, and probably works well for gaming, at an absolute STEAL of a price. Buy one while they're still dirt cheap. You won't regret it.

Value high product, but test before you buy
Eye on this for several months and finally pulled the trigger and bought it for around 500. Price-wise it's great. It's antithetically pleasing, clean sleek design and adequate manufacture quality compare to what you paid for.It can display extreme beautiful pictures and videos, meanwhile have extremely low quality built in speaker sound, but hey, it's better than nothing, and you don't have add ext speakers. For web browsing, esp you tube and gaming, this is perfect, or a dream for a budget minded user, like me.For office productivity and text viewing, the answer is absolutely, No, the glaring high contrast ( boosting the signal while arousing the background noise level and make the pixel pretty sharp) will burn your eyes in a minute, and pure flat panel will hurt your neck as well. You need to trust the other reviewers suggestions: please do yourself a favor, physically find such a screen for a peek in person before you buy, I know it's hard, this type of ultra wide usually not in stock in Best Buy or your friend's house. it only has a niche market for a nick of folks like me and you who will read the reviews here.it is well worthy product if it fits your style.

2 Years in, still going strong
I've had this monitor since October of 2021, and I can confirm it is still working great. This is the cheapest super ultrawide you can get new and while it does feel like that, your wallet will be happy not dropping 1k+Picture quality is meh. It is good enough for what you need. I found the HDR sucks and have it off. The variable refresh rate works well however so that's a plus.Since this is 3840x1080, this is much easier to run then other super ultrawides. I can run it with my 3060ti at full res, at a 60fps min for newer games, and 120fps for older or indie games. And by god the experience of using this is amazing. Super ultrawide just changes everything. Using windows Powertools you can setup a window layout for this beast that lets you have a full 16:9 tab in the middle and 2 smaller on the sides which is a blessing for productivity.PBP works well enough, only one audio output at a time. PIP however is nearly useless as both pictures have to be the same aspect ratio.

Bang For Your Buck Ultrawide Monitor
I was looking for an ultrawide monitor with a 32:9 resolution that would not be 1) insanely expensive 2) not too high of a resolution as my eyes not too great 3) 1ms response time 4) at least 120hz response time 5) IPS panelMy previous setup was two 27" 1440p monitors that I was using at 125% zoom. I was not able to look straight at my monitor and instead either left or right. This led me to looking for an ultrawide monitor, but the horizontal resolution had to be wide enough to make it the equivalent of two 1440p or 1080p screens on one display. This monitor is the equivalent of having 2 24" monitors with no bezel in the middle.Using the monitor leads me to wish this had just a slight curve as there is a bit of light bleed even though this is an IPS panel. Unlike TN panel, which will provide you unfavorable viewing when looking at your monitor from different angles, this panel looks great but as you look towards the very edges it won't look like the screen right in front of you. However, this is very small and not something that takes away from the use of the monitor. I use this monitor with email on the left, browser in the middle, and chat apps on the right so I am not looking a the corners of my screens at all times.Gaming on this monitor is very fun and immersive. I mainly play open-world games and not first-person shooters, which I have read some negative comments about playing on an ultrawide monitor. I have an Nvidia RTX 3070 and it handles RDR2 on max settings at native 3840 x 1080p and Biomutant on max settings at native 3840 x 1080p (Biomutant is demanding).I like this monitor as I can stare straight and take advantage of the real estate on the side, which I cannot do with dual screens.Overall, I give this monitor a 4.5/5 as I wish this had a slight curve to it.PS The monitor surprisingly light at 20lbs so it should be pretty easy to get it onto a gas spring arm. The built-in stand is pretty large and takes up a lot of desk real-estate.
