Our 14 year old cat Zazen has been exhibiting discomfort with his hips for the past year. Searches for alternative natural remedies had brought my attention to the well established benefits of the herb turmeric which has curcumin, known for reducing inflammation. There are countless testimonials and articles for folks to read when searching the internet. Looking here on Amazon, I came across this product Formula 747 Joint Support and decided to give it a try, most especially after reading the review by Thomas regarding his German Shepard. Since he had luck with 1/2 a tablet of Formula 747 daily, I figured 1/4 tablet once a day would be a fine starting point for our cat. Using a pill cutter, Zazen got his first 1/4 tablet around 8PM and the next morning, he was acting as if he were years younger. We gave him another 1/4 this morning, and intend to keep it at 1/4 tablet per day for a while. Administration with a decent pill pusher is required, he won't eat it on his own. For anybody who decides to do this,.. use a nail file to smooth out the edges of the cut tablets. It has a really hard surface, so it holds rather abrupt edges. The nail file smooths out the edges so that his throat won't be harmed when the pill is given. I give Formula 747 a 5 star rating for its effectiveness. It's combination of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, and Curcumin(turmeric) works wonders. Because the dietary amount of turmeric is not established, the amount is not provided on the labeling. What I do know is that the formula works, and that is the bottom line. Zazen's response cannot possibly be attributed to a placebo effect, he certainly has no idea why he is being a given the pill.

I actually bought this for my German Shepard that's 17 years old. His back legs/hips are getting bad....and I give him a half a pill each day and it does wonders for him. With in 1 day there was a difference in his ability to get up (without help).

I had chronic tendinitis in both elbows for years that I'd keep tweaking when working out. Had lots of shots of cortisone for temporary relief, but it would come back. Soon they looked and felt normal. Zero relapses in over 5 years. A pretty cheap supplement, too. < $0.25 per day (two tablets). I haven't added up all of the Dr. visit cost ... but I'm sure I could have done a lifetime supply for the same $$.

I am not a cat or a dog, I used it like 3 years ago with excellent results for my knee. Now I am starting with pain again, and started taking it 3 days ago and my pain is gone. I LOVE IT!, AND I ONLY TAKE ONE IN THE MORNING AND ONE IN THE EVENING.

These tablets work better and faster on my knee pain than anything I've ever taken. I share them with whomever I can because it's exciting watch and then be able to tell someone who was just limping an hour ago "I told you!" lol
