Useless! I purchased 2 of them and both of them are just trash!!!!! Don’t waist your money after this terrible cheap piece of plastic!!!

bulb doesn't work; realized bulb failure after a stated [not realized] deadline of returning it by Sep 2nd, which was a 30 day window after bought it... I have asked for a refund of replacement but seller has so far, failed to respond to my request. OVER A WEEK NOW' NO RESPONSE FROM THE SELLER YET!!

Product is great, and its brightness is excellent. I’ve it it for a couple of months now, and I have it on automatically for 3 hours per day. I’ll be able to report on energy efficiency later.

Looking to replace my 300w 12VAC incandescent pool light that recently died, I was pretty shocked to find such limited and pricey choices in simple white LED replacements. Unless you want multi-color "disco" lights, most of which require the use of remote controls even to just get a simple white light, the pickings are very slim! And the many buyer complaints about remotes not working was enough to turn me away from those. Then there is the fact that you always have the possibility of a leak, which no matter how slight will instantly short out anything electronic. In fact one of the white ones of another brand I found had a fan inside for cooling. I doubt that would have any longevity. At least a sealed unit might survive a few drops of water (which does happen with old fixtures!). And you CAN get totally waterproof lights, but they are expensive, and every one of them is another multi-color light with remote! So at least THIS one is just white (cool white, regardless what the ad says), no remote is needed, and the construction is reasonably sealed. This is probably because it is only 12 watts, and so does not generate enough heat to require vents or internal fans. But it is reasonably bright. The actual lumens are not specified, but to my eyes I'd say this is about than 2/3 the visual brightness of my original 300 watt bulb. Not bad. And most important to me, as a DIY oriented person, this unit will not be too difficult to make waterproof, if you come up with a way to add a well fitting glass cover fitting to the front, sealed with silicone sealer. "Your mileage may vary" as they say, but what you are searching for and your concerns are similar to mine, this bulb might be your best bet. Oh... and unlike other LED lights being sold, this one actually comes with a WRITTEN guarantee.

Very nice lights. Bulb is small but very bright. Be sure to add a new gasket for the cover because it’s not a waterproof unit

It looked good. 10 minutest later it no longer worked. Just flickered once in a while. I got a name brand instead now that works fine.
