Bro Science and Empty Pages
The workouts all train body parts once a week, even though muscle growth occurs within a 48 hour window. This is going to cause suboptimal growth for gym goers. Even the 3 days per week workout is essentially half of a Push Pull Legs 6 day program, which is very wrong as PPL is a 6 day program and was never intended for 3 days.Also, most of the book is just a calendar where you log your reps, sets and weight used. You can do this on multiple free apps, or even on your google calendar. This book is a complete waste of money.

CAREFUL WHAT YOU ARE ORDERING! IT IS NOT WAS USED TO BE BEFORE!!!
Ordered this journal twice before and was super happy with it. Followed the 5-day split schedule and had great results. Wanted do do this third year running so ordered the same journal again. The price increased significantly since last purchase but I assumed the author just got a bit greedy and since it was such a great tool for my fitness, I ordered it again.This time, in spite of the book having the same cover and barcode, it is a completely different journal which is far worse than previous version. The book itself is asolutely massive and bloated, loads of completely unnecessary content have been added, excercise journal pages now take twice the space as before - each week on two pages. To my great disappointment, the excercises themselves have been changed so I cannot compare my performance to previous years.What a waste of paper. What was a clear, lightweight and concice journal (after cutting the 4 and 3 days split pages) is now a monster of a brick book which is unusable. I am returning it immediatelly.Anyone please let me know how I can order a vastly superior previous version!!!

This diary is a wonderful addition to the programme.
The year one challenge is a workout diary for you fill in as you follow on the programme. This book is split into the 6 phases and each phases has 3 sections depending on whether you do 3, 4 or 5 days a week. Technically you could use the book for 3 years if you did 5 days a week for one year and then 4 days the next and 3 days for the last one.The workout diary is well produced and easy to follow.I use weights at home so filling it in is not an issue but if I had to take it to the gym then maybe it would be a tad cumbersome but you could always write it in when you got home.In this digital age there is something nice about writing in it every day and tracking my progress like this.

Underwhelmed
It’s a hefty book at nearly 400 pages. The first 88 pages are a copy paste job from Bigger Leaner Stronger. The remaining 300 or so pages cover the exercise program, which comprises 6 routines with 3-day, 4-day and 5-day variations.So that’s what you’re getting: 6 exercise routines, of which one was described in Bigger Leaner Stronger. The book is so big because you’re effectively getting a notebook. The image above is typical of 300 pages in the book.I’m more than a little underwhelmed.

Very good partner to the BLS program
Good accompaniment to the Bigger Leaner Stronger book I have also purchased. I have begun my BLS journey and will be recording everything herein. Got to say after reading the BLS book I feel motivated to record the changes. The BLS book is a must as I understand SO much more about diet working out and the rights and wrongs to watch out for. Highly recommended!
