Great motion sensor lights
I've had these put up in the staircase (I don't see any reason why they can't be used in doors) so far so good and look very nice when passing the hallway, if i turn the main switch in an off position that stops them from coming on even when sensor is detected.Planning on purchasing 2 more for top staircase in the house, as they give off a good amount of light and key thing is kids will not leave the lights on as they turn off which I believe can be adjusted but I've left them at the standard setting which i think is about 20-30secs of no detection.Motion sensor seemed to pick up a good range and perfect for where I have positioned them.I'll need to see if i can switch them off in daylight

Love the design
Lovely bright light. Long range PIR. Great design. Used as an outside light for front door. Not sure how weather proof it will be over the winter months as doesn't appear that robust.

Good light output with good spread.
Easy to fit and worked straight away. Good light spread and with good motion detection. Well pleased.

A bow of light...
The SEBSON Outdoor Wall Light with Sensor is quite lightweight but it's made from polycarbonate, the toughest plastic, and should survive the weather well. It's easy enough to install, the back plate detaches from the main light and gets screwed to your wall using the screws and rawplugs supplied. There are small retaining screws that holds the light onto the backplate and they're positioned on the top and bottom. This means you'll need sufficient clearance above the light to be able to tighten the upper screw, so it would be difficult to install hard against a ceiling or beam. There's a silicone grommet in the back of the light (inside the backplate) through which the mains cable is fed and inside there's a simple cable block to connect them -- the light doesn't require an Earth connection. Once connected the light is bright and a cool shade of white and the curved design makes more sense because it seems the LED's are arranged right along the curve, not just gathered at the bottom, and so the light is emitted in a wide pool. It's perfect for wide entranceways or dark passages and if you fit it at an appropriate height you don't have to see the light source, which is very bright, but it still lights your way very effectively. The inbuilt PIR sensor seems quite sensitive but its position is fixed on the light and so the position you hang the whole light determines the area the sensor covers, so you have to consider this carefully. On top of the sensor is a plastic 'eyelid' which rotates and reveals two screw adjusters that can be used to set how long the light stays on and the ambient light sensitivity so you can decide when the sensor starts switching the light on. You get a good range of options, for example the light can switch off (when no activity is detected) after just 10 seconds or as long as 5 minutes but it's a bit hit or miss and you have to keep tweaking until you get the settings right. It's got an unusual shape but it's actually quite practical for many situations and my only real reservation would be putting it somewhere that debris might gather in the top scooped part, but that's probably unlikely.

Different
A rather interesting shape certainly very different from what I had lighting up my front door before, which was just a boring old bulk head light, the curved shape of this light I am not really sure it suits the location on my house but it does a job so good enough for me.When you look at this close up it does look somewhat cheap, but once on the wall no one will really look that close and it looks ok, fitting this was not really that hard once I had removed the old light, I was intending to use the ordinal wires but the realised that the entry points for cables is either directly through the wall behind the unit, which is the best way but there is joining wall behind in my case so can't do, the other way is on the left of the unit, either up from the bottom or in from the side but you need to snap the plastic for entry if entering from the wall and not through it, I was hoping for a entry point on the right but there is not one, this meant the cable that I thought was plenty long enough wasn't and had to be pulled at an angle to fit the unit, once I get some new cable I need to redo with neater cable routing, fitting the back plate to wall was easy and connecting the wires to the terminal block was the same, I had to snap away some plastic from the side so the light fitted snugly to the wall, then the fiddly bit, screwing up two rather small screws to hold the light onto the base plate, you know the type of screw that you will inevitably drop and loose, strangely enough I didn't but I did have a job fitting the top screw as there is not a lot of room between the top of the light an my porch so all done by feel.Once switched on it lite up, it was daylight so playing around with the adjusting screws to set it up and it was just a case of waiting till dark, it works really well turns on around 2.5mtrs from our front door and is quite bright, can stay on for a maximum of 5mins but I have it at about 2min which is long enough, so providing there are no unforeseen problems with this then I am happy and just need to tidy the wires up.

Great if you want motion-sensor-only operation
This is a smart-looking, contemporary light from a good name – we’ve had a few lighting products from Sebson and been generally happy with all of them. It’s easy to install (but be sure to put something under it to catch the screws you’ll probably drop!) and does seem to produce the claimed 930 lumens, or not far off. Perhaps 70W or 80W equivalent. The 5800K rating seems about right and means a cool white with no tendency to blue – perfect, as far as we’re concerned. The motion sensor works well BUT is the only way of operating it. If you want to be able to override the sensor and switch it on for a while, you can’t. Some sensor lights let you turn them on by flicking the switch a couple of times. This one doesn’t. We’ll still use it, but not where planned. It’s a real shame and surely wouldn’t have cost much to include manual override capability? Then we’d have bought another two. This may not be the classiest light on the market, with its plastic build, but we like it and at least it won't rust. If you’re happy with sensor-only, it makes a good buy at the current £19.99.
