Are these food grade for cooking?

You can use these to light up your other charcoals for cooking, but it is not advised to use these for the actual cooking.

Theres a person pictured using a holder tool to hold the disk while lighting it. Where'ses the holder tool ?

No tool in my box. I hold with fingers and am careful. They light fairly easily. I only light the side opposite my fingers and it seems to spread well.

Is 100% pure coal? What is the lighter ingredient in it?

I imagine it is something like gunpowder. It sparks and then goes out
