The search is over
I've been on a search for my pick of destiny since I started playing, which has been about 2 years. I've tried a ton of popular choices and various thicknesses and everything time I think "this is the one!", that lasts a few weeks and then I start looking for something else. Or in some cases, I modify what I'm using to get it closer to perfection. I've sanded thicker ones to make them a little thinner. Glued sandpaper to them to give them grip. Cut stripes in them to give grip. Drilled small holes in them to change the flexibility. Well, I picked up a red Dava on at a local music store, because, why not add to my growing collection. I try to stick with a pick for at least a few weeks and I play for around an hour a day. Immediately, the pick felt "interesting". It seemed to check a lot of boxes for me. The grip is very nice since rubber has a unique feel. I like the lines as they give you a good reference point each time you start using the pick. (Although I don't pay much attention to the idea of holding it at a certain line to get a specific amount of flexibility.) But the thing that really grabbed my attention was that you get something you don't normally get with a pick. The end of the pick is stiffer than the middle, so you get a combination of flexibility in the middle and firmness on the end that is difficult to match. When I drilled several small holes in a pick, I got really close to the same feel. The holes I drilled were about the same size as the circles on the Dava, but in a different pattern. The effect is similar, but my hack wasn't as good. The material used in the Dava and the way everything is put together just winds up given a really awesome feeling when held and played. Here's another thing that has driven me away from other picks. I will find one I like and then quickly realize that after I play a few songs that require aggressive strumming that the pick has already started to deteriorate. I don't expect a pick to last forever, but I also don't what to run through picks like crazy. Not to mention, if the pick is changing on you from song to song, I start wondering if those changes are affecting my playing. I'm probably over thinking that but it still... I've been using the same red Dava pick for a month. I can tell it's change a bit, but that's a month of pretty decent playing and the changes are minor, and really welcomed as now I've got a bit of a bevel that is nice.Oh, I should mention that I did try the yellow and the somewhat clear pink ones. The yellow one feels great if you are just strumming as it's more flexible, but for lead playing I prefer the red one. The pink one is ok, but it didn't seem to be wearing consistently and just didn't feel as nice to me as the red one.As for the price, at first I was a little put off but that since I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to a pick that was more expensive than most. But, I'm ok with that based on how great they are and the fact that they seem to last longer than most I've tried. If I had to give one complaint, I wish it had the bevel it gets after playing it for a while, and then not change at all from that. That's probably impossible because if you made a pick that tough, the feel wouldn't be the same on the strings and the flexibility would be drastically different, not to mention you'd probably wear out the strings. For all the above, I'm giving this pick 5 stars. After trying tons of different picks, I'm no longer interested in trying something else. And for me, that's a huge statement as I'm super, uh, picky. (No extra charge for that one.) :)

Love These Picks
I never liked to use a pick until I tried these. What a difference the grippy part makes! I don’t drop the pick any more. They are not very flexible so I think they are helping with my picking and strumming. I’m just an amateur, playing guitar for fun, and these have added a new level to my playing.

The best picks I’ve had!!!!
I’ve seen the good and bad reviews, but after trying one of these a couple years ago I’ve used nothing but these. This brand is one of the best brand picks I’ve ever used, and believe me I’ve tried many brands, styles, sizes, shapes and gauges over forty years of picking and playing stage shows.Even though they come in one gauge, you’ll definitely be impressed with their versatility and longevity. And they don’t slip out of your finger grip!!!. That’s the best feature of all!!!!I am a true believer in these and have put away every other pick and style pick I have and retired them.I now have gone all exclusively to the Dava Brand picks!!!Forget the rest and try this brand and style, you definitely can’t go wrong and will be surprised at their functionality….Finally a pick that can be used on everything from rhythm to lead and in between!!!Dava Brand Picks Rock!!!!!

Great Picks! Fast Shipping!
These picks arrived fast for standard shipping. Three days! I bought this combo pack to see if there was any real difference between the derlin, nylon, and gel picks. I am here to tell you there is no difference in speed or feel to the pick. Now, they do sound a little different though. The derlin picks sound really good for hard rock power chords. The nylons sound better with a clean sound for nice chords and slower playing. The gel picks sound really bright and clear when distorted. With the gel picks, you can play a little faster, but its really not noticeable at all. If you're wandering the derlin picks are red, nylon picks are yellow, and the gel picks and pick in the picture, but more purplish without light. These are great picks if you want to try out all of the dava picks at a great price and fast shipping!

The best picks you could possibly find
These picks are a dream. They work great for highly-articulate lead playing and glide like a hot knife on butter for tight rhythm in all styles (especially the nylon ones).

I finally found the perfect pick...
Wow. I finally found the ultimate pick. I've tried the Delrins and they are interesting, but have a flat tone and are not stiff enough for precision picking, even when I choke up on them. I've tried all kinds of other picks, thicknesses and materials. With this pick, I have so much control picking or strumming and perfect tone on my Taylor 816 acoustic. I have huge hands and no trouble holding on to them when strumming. I ordered these in February and am just now trying out. I hate that I lost 4 months of playing with them.Update: OK, still sound great on my rosewood. Just tried them on my brighter maple guitar and sounds terrible for strumming. It's amazing to me how much the pick can change the voice of the guitar. The delrin picks sound pretty good on the maple. I.e. the Grip tips bring out a brighter sound if you need it.

Best picks I have ever used...
I LOVE these picks.... you can bear up close on them to get a good stiff feel to the strings, or back down the pick a little to get some flex while strumming chords... The grip is FANTASTIC too...I have tried just about every type of pick available in my area and quite a few VERY overpriced picks on the web. These are hands down my favorite picks.... I have several lying around different spots of the house where a guitar is close by, because the price is also excellent. With the price being so low for a combo pack, definitely give these a try. I haven't talked to anyone yet that doesn't love them..
