Comfortable, but I'm not sure it warrants the price.
It's a comfortable lightweight shoe. I can get into a regular Size 13 usually, but I got these in a wide since it was available. My initial impression wasn't good. I could feel the edge off the insole all the way around my feet. Mostly the right. Partly because someone put a sticker on the insole that I wasn't able to peel off. I pulled the insole out trying to remove the sticker. After a couple days I don't notice the edges anymore. The upper holes for the laces are very tight and the laces don't pass through easily. Maybe over time they'll loosen up. The shoes are stretchy enough that I can get my foot out, then loosen the laces. I like the red color, but don't like the goofy nub on the heels. Of all the different color choices the nubs on these seem to stand out the least. After getting the I figure I'm not going to be looking at my heels anyway. Other than heel protection I'm not sure what they would be for. So far they seem like a good shoe. Not sure they are worth what I paid, for a glorified walking shoe. I've had the Danner Radical in the past and liked it a lot.

Size up if you have fat feet
My feet are a 12 wide, either EE or EEEE, for New Balance and most other shoes. the 12EE Danner Trail 2650's that I ordered were just a little bit short in length and tight in the toe box. Maybe they would've been fine once the shoes stretched out or maybe I would have lost a few toenails on the downhills. I ordered up to a 13EE, and while these are a bit too long, the toe box has more room. I also found the arch support a little lacking so I replaced the Danner narrow and wimpy insoles with some Superfeet Blue's. MUCH better now with good arch support and a noticeably more stable under foot, too. All in all, a nice shoe for light hiking that looks so much better than the typical Keens, Merrells, or Oboz (Mine are all brick red.) Stylish enough for going out and sturdy enough for the occassional trail.

These last me about six months...
Which is excellent for me! I normally wear shoes for three months before they are trash. I am a habitual foot dragger and I walk on the outside of my foot. These have withstood my abuse far more than any other shoe I have worn.I have also used these as a running shoe 2-3 times a week. They offer great comfort and I have had no issues with joint pain (shin splints/back, knee or hip). I love these shoes! My only complaint is that the black texture on the toe is not durable. My job requires me to be on my knees for long periods of time and these do scuff in this area really quickly. These are by far the most comfortable out of the box shoes I have ever worn! These are now "my shoes". Currently rocking the brick red while waiting on the green to arrive as a backup/date night shoes.

Best most comfortable hiking shoe I’ve had
Just did almost 50 miles between Sedona and Joshua Tree in a week in these shoes. I have an average foot in every way (width, arch etc). My feet did not have blisters (get good socks). Other than being a little tired at the end of the day my feet were not stressed and good to go the next day. I also have Danner “logger” boots I wear every day to work. I am a customer for life.

Just Right
I bought some Danner work boots last spring to wear on property that I am clearing. Needed something with ankle and arch support because of the rough terrain. You need good support when wielding a chainsaw. They are fantastic! So when I started looking at an oxford style trail shoe, I looked strongly at Danner. Was nervous as this was more than I normally pay for this type of shoe. But it was proven again, that you get what you pay for. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I am very pleased!

Comfortable
I have very sensitive, beat up, old arthritic feet. These are the best hiking shoe for me so far. They have an 8 mm drop with modest arch support. They are more comfortable than my Merrel vents and lighter. True to size at 10 wide (ee).

10.5 Fits perfectly right out of the box. Seemingly little to no break-in period.
I'm 5'8" 155lbs and wear a size 10.5 shoe. Bought these two months ahead of a three day backpacking trip we are planning figuring they would need to break-in but they didn't to my surprise. Very comfortable and capable hiking shoe but also a great everyday shoe. I clock around 20k steps a day on average (ten miles) and for the last week these beauties have kept my feet happy. Plenty of support and grip through the woods and loose rock on the shortcut path to the kid's school. Can't say enough good things about this purchase. Getcha some.
