The Writings of Teresa de Cartagena (Library of Medieval Women)

This book, written by the first known female mystic in Spain, is a gem. We are lucky to have this critical edition in English, as Teresa's second book is not even available in a modern edition. For the keenly interested, be sure to check for the editor/translator's articles with more historical findings on Teresa of Cartagena. This little known writer is a welcome addition to any medieval literature class.

Worth buying. She was a great woman
