Works better than OEM!!!! Im a believer.
Ok, I had the Ford original contactor that I bought back in April of this year. It died as of two weeks ago. I purchased this one due to all the reviews of got have it! Well they are right. Gotta have it!! I put this one in and it worked fine in 70 degree weather. We just had the coldest weather here in Va this year since last winter. I waited till the mornings were at and below freezing. Turned the key and waited for the light to go out and Bamm!, the truck started right up. Hasn't done that since I bought it over 9 months ago. Plus I put in new plugs and wires last April. Still wouldn't start in the cold. So I am a true believer in this Contactor! Yes it really works. I have tried it now several times since we have had cold days and nights here in the mountains this October. This truly does work like everyone says. As for longevity I will update as time progresses. But it truly has worked for me like one guys says, works in Alaska weather! Update....... The weather was 17 degrees the other mornings and the truck started perfect. Truly an amazing Contactor. No I do not work or am I affiliated in any way with this company. This is just the facts. I was on a hunting trip in the mountains and I was so hoping I wouldn't have to start a generator to warm the truck by the plug. NOPE! Worked perfectly!! Wanted to update eveyone........... Still going strong and the truck starts up like a dream. No problems with this contactor at all. Bought another one just to have on hand (just in case). But so far as of Dec 12 2016 All is A ok!! Thank you White Rogers!! 6-20-2018 Another update....... The 97 is still running perfect. Bought a 2001 F-250 and it got the upgrade to the white Rogers contactor and it starts so much faster. Shop said oh you need this and this and this...... Well, needless to say it only needed a contactor that truly works and does what it says it does. Seriously, TRY ONE!!!!

Well worth Solenoid, way better than stock
The first one I received looked like the Post Office used it as a soccer ball as the face was completely cracked. I ordered a replacement and two days later I received my new one. It was well packed and looked great.I got this for my 99 F250 Super Duty 7.3. There is no wiring diagram but it’s easy to figure out; take a picture of how the wires were attached before and put them back on the same connections. I’ve read it doesn’t matter as long as the big wires go on the big connections and the small wires on the small connectors. Remember the Glow Plug Relay (GPR) solenoid is the back solenoid of the two or the one closer to the firewall. The fit is extremely tight and I recommend to mount the solenoid where the wires face the passenger corner under the hood. The solenoid will mount at a 45*angle once in place. The biggest recommendation I have for the 99 Ford is to take off the front solenoid too as it is near impossible to put mount the GPR on the mounting studs with it on. Once you get the new solenoid started on the mounting studs don’t set it all the way down; start the mounting nuts as you are pushing it down; once it is all the way down there is no room to get them started as the mounting bolts almost touch the sides of the solenoid. Unfortunately you also can’t get a socket on these either so you will need to tighten them with an open end wrench (this is the worst part of the job). Once the new solenoid is mounted go ahead and remount the other solenoid and your done. You should be able to use a socket on the other other solenoid mounting nuts.Solenoid review:In live in the NW and when it started getting close to freezing at night I had to plug my truck in. I had changed the oil to 5w-40 synthetic and it would still not to start unless plugged in. I saw a video about preparing your diesel for winter and they recommend this solenoid as one of the upgrades. All the reviews I read were also very high. When I received the 2nd solenoid and installed new it, my truck hadn’t been plugged in all week. I would normally have to plug it in for a few hours AND cycle the key at least 4 times to maybe get it to start. After the install, I got in, turned the key on waited for the “Wait to Start” light to go out and then turned it over. It was about 33* outside and it started right up with no issues, no smoke, nothing. Best investment I have made so far and now I don’t have to worry about it not starting. As you can see it is a lot bigger than the stock solenoid and many have reported it lasts a lot longer than stocking not for just about the life of the vehicle. The White Rodgers is about $25 more than stock so pay the extra and don’t fear about getting stuck.
