Gauges previously installed on our pool equipment would last for 6-12 months before exhibiting problems. The equipment is not weather shielded and is completely exposed to sun, wind and rain. The biggest issue was that other gauges were simply not weather tight and were destroyed by moisture. This gauge is glycerine filled and has worked very well against the elements, and was the same price as other cheaply made gauges. This one is recommended over air core gauges to measure pump pressure at the selector head.

I got tired of replacing pool pressure gauges every year or two. Even though they aren't very expensive it seems like a waste. I decided to try this glycerine filled gauge this year. Even at 1.5-2x the cost of an inexpensive air filled gauge, if it lasts more than a year, it will be worth it. I just installed it this Spring and can't comment on the longevity yet. If it fails prematurely I will update this review.Pros:* Very precise gauge. It's easy to read half PSI changes in pressure. Note this is precision, not necessarily accuracy.* Feels solid and well built.* Installed easily with a little teflon tapeCons:* The air bubble in it is a little big and can make reading slightly more difficult when the needle is going through the bubble area.Undetermined:* Longevity. Will this last longer than a year? Will the bezel not fade from UV exposure like every other gauge I have used?* Water/Humidity proof. Hopefully this doesn't fog up from rain/humidity like air filled gauges.* Accuracy. This gauge reads lower pressure in my pool than air gauges used to by 3 or 4 PSI. I think I trust this gauge more, but have no way to verify. It doesn't really matter, to me, though as the change in PSI is what is important for determining when to backwash or if there is a problem in the system.Conclusion:So far so good. I have high hopes for this gauge and am happy with this purchase so far.

The most solidly built pressure gauge I've had on my filter in 13 years, including the original gauge that came with a brand new filter system.Fixed the airlock issue I was having from the junk plastic gauges that came with the system or were replaced by junk Lowes gauges.Easy to read for now, we'll see how the cover handles the elements here in South Jersey.No way to comment on accuracy since I have no other way to gauge the actual pressure.Wish I had one years ago, well worth the money.

Works ok but it's really hard to see the scale markings in the dark blue area. I would not buy it again for that reason.

I expect to purchase a second gauge for a reserve replacement if needed!

Replaced our OEM gauge that was hard to read and broke after two seasons. Very pleased with the build quality! I can also read the gauge now without having to go right up to the filter which is an added bonus.
