perfect and in great shape.
Well worth the money. Had to get a laptop for college and didnt want to spend a lot and the best part is this one came with all the bells and whistles. DVD player, good video card, 8gb ram, and 500gb drive. Plus lots of USB ports. Plus windows 10 was required for my course so thats also why tgis laptop was good.

Yup. Not a bad laptop
I just started college classes and I needed a computer, so I got this (thankfully I had financial aid to help!).This is my first computer, and I use it mostly for typing documents, creating powerpoints, basic web surfing, and streaming videos on YouTube. I don't play games on this laptop, but one can only imagine how games would run on an i5core processor/ 8gb RAM/2.6ghz, which I don't think is too bad. Overall, it works great for what I do on it, and seeing as how it's refurbished, I'd say it's definitely worth the money. Now, I would give this 5 stars, however, there is a bit of a quirk I've experienced with this laptop I'd like to address ...For the 4 months or so that I've had this laptop, it has had random bouts of what I like to call "freeze-lock". Usually when I boot the laptop, it starts up and takes me to my account login screen within seconds. This thing is pretty fast! However, once in a blue moon (or perhaps it's when the planets align) when I boot up the computer, it will take several minutes longer than usual to take me to the login screen, and when it does, it won't even show me my account, leaving me with no option to login while staring aimlessly at the background. Thankfully, the backgrounds are high definition and very gorgeous. If it weren't for that, this review would be 3 stars ....Sooo .... that's pretty much it. I usually have to hard reset it when that "freeze-lock" thing happens, but like I said, only during a blood-moon's lunar eclipse.Oh yeah, my laptop has a webcam. I've seen a lot of contradictory reviews pertaining to wehter or not there is a webcam ... just thought I'd throw that out there.

Not for me but might work for you???
where to begin? well firstly I think if you are ordering this be well aware that you don't know what you are going to get. I have worked quite a bit on laptops myself and immediately new what I was looking at within seconds. I have bought a lot of refurbished items in my life and this is the first one that was "Clearly Refurbished" as in there is no mistaking that this laptop saw a lot of miles. Normally refurbished means it was repaired back to factory specs, not even close with this. First thing I noticed when unboxing it was some very poorly done cosmetic repairs. This laptop should have been scrapped for parts and used to repair laptops that were in better shape. There are chips missing out of the casing and the "certified Microsoft refurbishing company" chose to use a silver paint pen to re-coat the entire bottom half. I think they would have been better off just sending the paint with it as I would have done a better job. There are silver fingerprints left behind. Oh and also they painted over all of the external connections. also the palm rests have been covered up with a black sticker. This model usually has a ruberized coating, this one must have rubbed off, hence the need to put the black band-aide over it, which if I may add is bubbling up and peeling back at the edges. I can also tell that the keyboard has been replaced. In my opinion if a laptop needs this much repair then it shouldn't be sold. Oh and as I was typing I realized it also did not come with the DVD drive which was pretty essential. I am currently requesting my refund so I can go to the store and just buy a new laptop.Update: just noticed that the top shell has a skin on it that has air bubbles in it. So literally this is a used laptop with stickers and a paint pen.

A great deal for cheap folks like me
***Two months later*** Still very happy, one of the best tech purchases I've made for the money. Be aware though, has no built in HDMI port and the audio is poor. I didn't buy it for either (my monitor has a VGA port), but just some thoughts...I'm a general cheapskate, but this PC fit both the budget and my needs. I do light video editing, as well as want to stream in 1080p on Youtube, etc. This works very well. Came WITH a charger. Battery lasts about two hours. Came set up and ready to roll (although it did come in tablet mode with the screen oriented the wrong way).Love my purchase of this so far and will recommend.

Good value for the money, but a bit outdated with some quirks.
I had to replace my old laptop but only had a $200 budget. This probably is the best deal for the money but it does come with some quirks. The positive side is it still runs strong for what seems like a pretty old laptop. The memory and ram is great so it works smooth. Also a minor detail but I like that it has little volume buttons next to the keyboard. The cons are:-its a bit heavier than I expected but not too bad.-It has no built in camera or mic-It doesn't just start with windows 10 on it so setting that up was a little confusing, but everything was ready on it to do that.-And the biggest problem I had was it would not connect to WiFi. I called the company and they said it should work after doing windows updates. So I connected it with an Ethernet cord did the updates but it still had no WiFi. I decided to do my own research, trying to update drivers and such and found out the WiFi drivers were discontinued! And none of the alternate drivers on the manufacturer sites were comparable with it. So I bought an external USB WiFi thing and got it working with WiFi that way.So took some work to get it how I want, which I prefer to do than return it. But it works good and does everything I need for now.

Great gift
Problem it was to my daughter and her daughter (my granddaughter) being energetic, it didn’t last to long. It got busted in a short period of time with those two sweet beautiful little adorable girls. They replaced it and now going to buy another one to replaced that one. The two sweet little angels cat pee all over the keyboard of that one.
