Ian is the best writer on the wines of Italy. This is a good reference work. Full of great info.

Se puede esncontrar una descripcion de las variedades nativas e internacionales de todas las regiones de Italia, incluyendo el color, aromas y particularidades de subregiones que plantan aparentemente la misma variedad pero por el terroir sus vinos son diferentes.Muy buen libro de texto y referencia.

Im Vorwort schreibt der Author Ian D'Agata, dass es sich bei dem vorliegenden Buch um eine Zusammenfassung der früheren Publikationen 'Native Wine Grapes of Italy' & 'Italy' Native Wine Grape Terroirs' handele. Falls das so sein sollte, frage ich mich, warum nicht der vorhandene englische Text dieser Bücher einfach als Vorlage genommen wurde. Stattdessen scheint es sich um eine schlechte Rückübersetzung der italienischen Übersetzung von Auszügen der englischen Ausgaben zu handeln.Noch schlimmer als die Probleme mit der Übersetzung ist aber das mangelnde Lektorat. Fehlende Leer- und Satzzeichen sind häufig und regelmäßige Fehler wie 'wiens' treten oft im gleichen Absatz wie 'wines' auf. Sehr störend auf den Lesefluss wirken sich auch Zeilenumbrüche mitten in einem laufenden Satz und Wortschöpfungen wie z.B. 'lcaharctyerized' aus.Insgesamt wird die vorhandene Information durch die schlechte Präsentation erheblich beeinträchtigt.

Really informative book, however the binding is SOOO bad multiple pages fall out as the binding falls apart. I wouldn't recommend buying this product.

Es un buen libro con mucha información, no contiene imágenes y todo es muy sistemático, pero ayuda mucho a saber sobre las uvas en cada región de Italia
