Shoe runs slightly large.
I just purchased a second pair so you can guess my review will be positive. One important item I do have to note is that ,for me, the shoes are half a size large. Normally I wear size 9 (42.5 euro) and when I bought the shoe last year I noticed they were a little loose. I did not return the shoe because I figured I would be adding some thicker insoles so the extra volume was ok. I just wore them and tried to really tie down hard.As a year passed on my first pair I decided to buy a second in the smaller size 8.5. The smaller size fits much better and I can still put my insoles inside. So I probably should have returned my first pair and went down half a size.Things I like about this shoe is the quality of the materials and sturdy outer construction. I use these shoes at work and I stand a lot so I give these thumbs up on comfort and durability. I walk about 6000-8000 steps per day and the first pair has lasted me almost exactly one year.

Great shoes. Good-looking, rugged, heavy, and should hold up.
I've been very impressed with these shoes and think they're a great value for the money. Not only are they a good looking pair of shoes (I purchased the grey option) but they have been durable and seem as if they'll last quite a while. I've hiked with these and find them to be pretty grippy and sturdy. A few specific comments:> I have flat feet and prefer no arches. The arches in these shoes are pretty minimal so it works for me.> These shoes are HEAVY. They will be heavier than your typical sneaker. This isn't necessarily unusual for a good hiking shoe but using them as an everyday shoe will take some adjustment. But along with this is the idea that these are rugged and designed to last. I've purchased shoes in the past where the soles feel like glorified foam rubber. The treads on these are solid and feel as if they'll hold up for a long time.> There are a few features that I find slightly uncomfortable: (1) there is a significant rise inside the shoe at the heal, such that there is almost a ledge inside the shoe which can be uncomfortable. I compensated for this with gel inserts. (2) There is an exposed rivet at the top that can rub on your foot but adjusting the tongue can cover it so it's less of an issue. But despite these small issues, overall the shoe is solid, well built, and good-looking.

Cushioned and comfortable
As a morning person I’m often out walking around in the yard, the woods or other places where the evening’s dew has left the ground wet, or after a light snow. While sneakers or cross trainers are my preferred casual footwear for my daily excursions, the morning walkabouts on wet ground means my sox and feet can and often do get wet. To help avoid this situation I was looking for a pair of quality shoes that would resist that dampness, yet still be comfortable enough for long walks with the dog in a damp forest and other times when I’m sure to encounter wet ground. At purchase time I settled on the Camel Crown as I felt they met my buying criteria and were at the right price point. Upon delivery I was pleasantly surprised at the fit, and comfort, their overall construction and their ability to resist the ground dampness. Make no mistake about it, they ARE a low cut shoe, not a boot, so their utility is most useful in situations I’ve described, or even walking in a light rain. But these shoes have become my go-to footwear in the morning, and have earned their place in my entryway real estate alongside my favorite hiking boots and other favs. I leave the Camels tied loosely so I can easily slip them on and off regardless of sock thickness. Overall, I’m quite happy with these shoes as they’ve become like breakfast; the best way to start my day off right. Other reviewers have complained about lacing issues, but I have not had any bad experience with them. I recommend giving the Camel Crowns a try.

Good Shoes
I've been wearing these shoes for 6 months, and I have to say that they're very strong and comfortable. I had not problem with the size. I would buy it again if I have to.

Good hiking shoe
I wanted a more traditional shoe with a heel. I'm finding that I'm getting knee pain with my other shoe and had discovered my winter boots felt better because of their heel. This shoe is improving my posture and walking is less tiring and knee seems better.I had ordered a size 8.5 which was too short for the toes. The next size is right. I usually take 8.5 and size 9 occasionally. The shoes are very comfortable. Good support and no rubbing. They don't feel like they need to be broken in. I got these for hiking and for when the weather is not so nice. I stepped in a few puddles and no leaking. The shoes are nice looking.I'm curious if they stay cool in the summer and how they'll survive with time.

Very nice
Looks awesome but the size isn’t correct! It is slightly off- compare to the euro size and American I found some differences. But overall I will keep it.

Great shoes
Great shoes when you want something more than a walking shoe , but don't need your hiking boots. I wear these a lot when walking the dog through rain, light snow, and trails that can get a bit muddy. My only complaint is they chew through your laces pretty easily. I'm having to replace the laces every 3-4 months.
