MAD Suppressor Cover

Seems like a very heavy duty can cover. Actually added a lot more weight to the end of my rifle than I had anticipated. That being said it contains the heat really well. I run it on a rifle with a thermal so even the smallest amount of heat distorts my scope. Shipping was lightning fast A+ for customer service rifles only! I will update if any problems arise but I doubt there will be a need for that.

I have several of these and I haven't burned anything. They work great and are very well made. Like all covers, they do tend to slip a little no matter how tight you get it. If it really bothers you, run a single wire across the opening at the back of the can. Poke it through the cover on each side and run it across the back of the suppressor. Clip the ends and fold them over, like a long "C". I used a piece of steel safety wire. Can't even notice it and the cover doesn't slip forward.

Okay, despite the other posts about this cover melting sooner than one expected and with the description eluding to the cover not handling higher heat, I got this cover anyways. I really only planned on shooting with it on my bolt action rifle but put the can on my AR. After about 60 rounds in about 10-15 minutes. I started to smell burning plastic. It appears that only the 5-50 cord melted. I stopped firing and let it sit to cool down. In my assessment I would classify the cover as only being rated for aesthetics. I plan on putting the cover back on my bolt action and seeing if I can get it to melt with my firing rate of that also. I’ll update my post with the results... if I remember to. I gave the product a four star because there where multiple warnings that this cover could not handle the heat so it is my own fault for dismissing that, so my rating is for the heat shield itself. It did help me handle with weapon and protect my hand from burns. I reduced one star because after shooting I noticed that the heat shield left marks on my can and also there was fiberglass particles on my weapon platform that I was concerned about getting in my nose when I sniffed my barrel like Biden sniffing a little girl.

This product really works. Put this on top of a YHM Titanium 5.56 can and mounted it up to a .22-250 and hit the dog towns of South Dakota. No mirage of any sort. Swapped this cover between the YHM and an AEM 5. This is the perfect size for the AEM 5 but hangs over the barrel by a couple of inches with the YHM. The outer cover is well made and cinches down easily. The inner sleeve has the edges dipped in a rubbery substance that makes swapping it around easy and eliminates the frayed and sharp edges. The sleeves have enough purchase that removal from the QD mounts was easy.

Sweet little suppressor cover! Looks great and holds up to the heat well. Does everything you’d expect it to. Took a bit of work to get it tight but not too bad. Definitely would recommend

looks good, but keeps falling off when the suppressor gets hot. Make sure to tighten it multiple times while in use.
