Had great pies but recipe has changed
I have loved these pies, the quality and amount of fruit and the thick buttery crust. I order directly from their website. But in the last year something has changed. It started when I bought a blackberry peach pie and I baked it like before but it came out as if I had completely over baked it, the crust was dark and overpowered the fruit filling. Okay maybe I got a dud. I ordered two pies in November and I just baked the tart cherryand it’s not the same pie I ordered a year ago. I noticed the baking instruction changed so I gave it a go only to have the same experience. I’m not tasting a buttery crust, more of a shortening taste but strong flavored like animal fat or lard. Butter melts and cooks a certain way. Whatever the fat, it taste over cooked and fried through and I noticed the uncooked dough is a little darkerAnd so thin on top. The cherries were lighter than before and not as filled reminded me of canned cherries not the ones with syrup. My husband even said it’s weird reminds me of when air hits cooked turkey skin or pork fat. I don’t know if pandemic has affected the cost or quality of things but it is so sad and disappointing because I loved these pies but I wouldn’t buy this quality pie.

BlackBerry pie.🥧 Yucky 🤮
The BlackBerry Pie. My husband Ted said he thought it cost way to much, and it tasted way to Target and he said that I would not like it. 🥧👎
