Holds up to industrial use *UPDATED REVIEW*
I'm an industrial painter by trade. Speaking from experience using many different kinds of 5 in 1s. This is by far my favorite. Handle is rubberized, pommel is hard plastic. Pommel does not/will not come loose or fall off like other brands. It is quite slim compared to other models, fits in my front pocket while most others are too long or too bulky. I carry mine on an elastic tool lanyard with a caribiner. Rubber handle cleans up really nice with acetone without degrading the plastic. I like and carry it every day, decided to buy another for home and write a review. I work in an industrial environment with epoxies and thinners.*UPDATE*I carried the one that I initially did the review on for over a year. I ruined and wore down the edge from scraping about 500 square feet of concrete. The accelerated wear wasn’t a failure of the tool, but was due to hard use and scraping an abrasive surface. The photo is a a comparison of other popular brand painters tools. Second to the right is the original Warner that I retired, I only kept it for this review. The far right is a new one that I have not taken to the jobsite as of yet. I currently carry the Purdy (second from left) because I got it for free through my job. The one on the left is a Red Devil brand, also acquired on the jobsite. As you can tell from the photo the Purdy is much longer than the Warner and the scraping portion of the Red Devil is too wide in my opinion. The Warner fits right in the middle based on weight and overall size. The Warner is still the winner but I keep it at home until the others I have fail. The original Warner one was subject to very hard wear and exposed to a myriad of industrial chemicals, very impressive how it has performed and how long it lasted given the circumstances. I’m sure the casual user or tradesperson can get a lifetime of normal use from the Warner.

Stiff blade, good build quality. Solid putty knife.
As a carpenter, it's always nice to have a stiff bladed putty knife. Not usually for putty/paint, but as a scraper or a wedge that isn't quite as severe as a pry-bar or a cats Claw.A lot of putty knives aren't designed for a lot of striking with a hammer, but I've found myself doing it quite often.Very quickly break the wooden handles off of most paint scrapers, so I decided to try this one out which seems designed for striking with the metal striking plate on the back of the handle. So far after about two weeks this thing has stood up to lots of use with no signs of the handle breaking off like I have run into with other putty knives. It's sharper than I expected, and the blade is just the right stiffness. The build quality is solid and the rubber grip feels great. If you're like me and find yourself using a putty knife to pry, scrape, or wedge under something, I definitely recommend this over the classic wood handled putty knife, it should last a much longer time.

Keep It Dry
I've used this tool for a big job: painting four rooms and a hallway. I've also used the tool to scrape grout that was replaced. It works well for its intended purpose. No complaints there. However, the last time it was used it was not allowed to completely air dry. I found two rust stains along the edge of the tool. For me, this is very disappointing, but I don't know if this is expected. I've had other putty knives rust.

Made in USA. Quality and Sturdy Product
Good color scheme. I wish the butt of the handle was metal instead of hard plastic, but still very sturdy and high quality. All of the other 5-in-1 tools at the local big box stores are made in other parts of the world that are not especially known for longevity and quality. I will gladly pay a little extra to support American manufacturing and American workers.

Warner, King of Putty Knives
The Warner scrapers / putty knives are a cut above. I’ve used them all- Husky, Purdy, Hyde, you name it. Just take my word for it and give it a rest.I like mine so much that I’m getting a stainless set even though the originals are still in excellent shape (I’m in a very humid environment so stainless is a plus).I’m hoping the stainless version is as strong as the regular steel version, but the fact that mine arrived chipped gives me pause. However in Warner’s defense it was poorly packed and probably got knocked around in transit. I have a replacement on the way and will let you know how these hold up against my originals and update my review then. But, a slightly less strong knife might be what you have to accept if going for stainless- as stainless steel is known to be less robust overall and prone to damage. Either way, I bet Warner made the best it could given the trade offs and will always unhesitatingly recommend them.

I like it more than the 5 in 1
Great "5 in 1" tool (ya, I know it's an 8 in 1, but everyone calls these 5 in 1's). The stiffness is excellent and the utility blade, while not knife-sharp, is close enough to open packaging & boxes. The point is sharper and better angled than on Warner's actual 5 in 1. The butt could use a little more curve to it for setting drywall screws and nails, but it's OK and everything else is excellent. The extra width over a regular 5-in-1 hasn't been an issue for me at all. Comfortable handle. The only downside to the extra width is pocketing the tool.Oh, and the labels peeled right off ...

American Made !!!!
I'm a welder and I used this as my scraper . I melted the handle off and welded it to a 2' handle . The Chinese made one I got from Walmart would chip all the time , never hold an edge and broke off in 2 weeks . I bought this American made scraper and I'm going 1 year now strong . Holds a edge and stay stiff and sturdy , never chips.... Awesome scraper !!!

Very strong and sturdy tool.
I purchased this product to aid in dismantling the bathroom at home. As the walls were covered in 3/8 plywood (not drywall) it was hard to pry them off of the of the wall studs. This tool is very sturdy and has a metal end on the handle for striking with a hammer to wedge it between stud and plywood panel. Great tool.

Tough enough for a scraper.
This is a really nice item. The blade may be a bit stiff for a putty knife but it makes a great scraper. The end of the blade is just sharpe enough to scrape off stickers and with the metal end cap it can be used with a soft faced hammer to scrape gaskets off machinery. I purchased two of these. One for the house and one for in my garage toolbox. I would highly recommend this item.

I love this thing!
This tool is amazing. I used it to remove old sticky linoleum tiles from my floor and it worked like a charm (also used a heat gun). I also used it to remove the baseboards gently, to pry away wood when demo-ing the kitchen cabinets. Great strong tool at a great price. I will repurchase.

Fantastic
This was exactly what I was looking for to clean up my new griddle (BBQ). The quality of this item is superb, the price point was fair and I was dutifully impressed with every aspect of it. Here`s hoping my dinner is as impressive as this BBQ tool :) Highly recommended.

Not as per picture
The image of the stainless steel scraper that I ordered clearly shows a scraper with a straight edged blade, the one I received has an angled edge (similar to the non-stainless steel version). I specifically bought the stainless steel one for the straight edge. One star for the misleading picture and failure to deliver item as advertised.
