This doesn't seem like the most high quality or durable pill cutter considering it's price and it's plastic material but it's really effective at cutting a giant tablet into four pieces. It is basic enough to use, there is a razor blade in the top side of the box and a narrowing holder in the base to put the tablet. And you simply close the lid. Not much pressure is needed as the blade is very sharp. It can fit all size and shape tablets. I've used it to cut the well-known brand of cat wormer into four pieces for easier pilling. There's no protection around the blade so I haven't cleaned it, but if I needed to I'd probably just brush the tablet dust off with a paintbrush. I'm not sure how well the blade will take to getting wet so I wouldn't risk rinsing it and it rusting. Therefore I've kept this cutter for sole use with worming tablets and other cat pills. It's nice and small so can be easily stored. I've put an elastic band around it to make sure it doesn't open and accidentally cut someone. I can't comment on longevity or how long it will remain sharp as I've only made three cuts, but for around £3 it does the job for now.

I bought the more expensive one first and it was no good. This one is much better because the cutter surface is at an angle (not flat) to the blade.

Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend. So easy to use. You can half/quater tablets easily. Store them in container. Price is excellent, quality of material is a good sturdy material . Size wise on cutting section is suitable for a big tablet too.

Works well on very small pills , however it just breaks a regular sized tablet into a million pieces

Great little machine. My tablets are really small round ones and it halved them with no trouble at all. There's a triangular section that you place your tablet in and it ranges from tiny to large. Great little thing to have in the medicine box.
