Review: Not for me - Only realised, the core of these sticks yield an almost glittery, iridescent black that looks shocking on laid/coarse grain paper. Next time, I'll stick to fat, jumbo sticks, these, once the outer matt, black and rich charcoal has been used up, are useless. Best for 'scene painter' whoever these are, or quick sketches only. For real charcoal work, bad economy.

Only realised, the core of these sticks yield an almost glittery, iridescent black that looks shocking on laid/coarse grain paper. Next time, I'll stick to fat, jumbo sticks, these, once the outer matt, black and rich charcoal has been used up, are useless. Best for 'scene painter' whoever these are, or quick sketches only. La maison Coates fabrique parait il les meilleurs fusains. Je n'ai rien à redire, ils sont très bien, le format mignonnette permet de faire des dessins de petite taille. Je les recommande.
