What type of light bulb does everyone use for this? The other answers say a regular 40w bulb, but that sticks out the top..

The 40 watt bulb should work. If the lamp shade is on wrong it will look like is sticking out. I put a 60 watt in mine and it didn’t stick it.

The bulb sticks out of ours and from what I’ve seen in the other questions and answers on here, a lot of other people have problems with the bulb sticking out. You can’t use a standard size light bulb unfortunately.

Why is the light bulb showing at the top of my unicorn lamp?

I had to buy smaller LED light bulbs for the wattage required for the lamp. Regular light bulbs are too tall and stick out the top of the lamp unfortunately. I found my bulbs at Walmart.
