Hollow in the Land

I'm no longer sure what constitutes a short story. Nowadays, they do not appear to have beginning, middle and end. This series is connected by virtue of being set, for the most part, in a Lancashire valley. To me, rather than stories, this is a collection of vignettes or paintings. And what paintings they are: full of colour, contrast, depth and perception.
