That was a fun ride! - WOW! What a 2nd book. This book is the 2nd Book in the Shadow Beast Shifters series. That being said in order to know what is going on in this book you will need to read the first book "Rejected" because this book starts from the cliffhanger that the 1st book left us with. I for oe do not mind cliffhangers because they keep me excited and coming back for more. I love Mera! She is strong and down't whine of coward down under pressure. Shadow just makes me melt. I love learning about them. This book is packed with excitement, adventure, and oh boy the steam is 🔥🔥🔥. The first book was mild in steam compared to this book. I loved everything about this book. I loved the characters. I loved the story and I really loved the twists and turns and Oh Boy the surprises that came in this book. Some times I can tell with direction the book is leaning, but this one had me fooled in some parts. All I can say is Wow I now have a book hangover. The ending of this book made me Gasp and say Oh No! If you thought the cliffhanger in the first book was bad, then wait until you read this one because it is a doozy. All in all if you enjoyed the first book, then you will absolutely love this book. This book does have strong language, Adult themes and sex. I recommend this book for those are 18+ to read Review: whoa! plot twist! - Just when you thought there would be a HEA, think again! I won’t spoil it for you but I haven’t out this series down since I picked it up 2 days ago! On to book 3! This book is when the heat picks up! Don’t lose heart. Lots of world building, relationship building and plot twists!

Excellent story
Wow! What an excellent series so far!! This book was so good. I love the characters and the various twists and turns in the plot were excellent (a few I predicted but a few were shocking for me). I honestly can't wait to see how this gets wrapped up in the next book!! I also loved the narrators, they are doing a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life!!

exceptional
Mera and the Shadow Beast are getting closer to finding out what is going on behind the Shadow realm door. They set out on an adventure to take back what is his and to figure out what kind of beast Mera is. This book was an amazing adventure, and I loved all the back story we get on Shadow. This one is spicy, and we see that Mera and Shadow are a match made in fire, but can they show each other what they feel or will everything go up in smoke. This book was a fun ride then your hit with that cliff hanger and you want to scream. So glad the next book is out.

This book will run you through so many emotions
Reclaimed picks up directly where Rejected left off. It brings together the scene beautiful and brings Mera and Shadow back together. It also opens up the shadow realm door as well as brings Shadow closer to Mera and opens up tons more questions about what Mera is. There is so much to unpack in the very start of this book but it was so well done that I didn’t feel overwhelmed. I was just so happy that Shadow and Mera were able to work through things and get back to where they belonged. Shadow was even kind enough to bring her friend back with them. This review will be harder because SO much happened in this book and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. The door is opened and they go into the realm – Shadow, Mera, and Angel. There is a lot of action in this book as they travel from place to place within the realm. Shadow is looking for revenge while Mera is looking for answers. We definitely get our answers before the end of the book. And they make sense. We also get a lot of seriously delicious steam in this book. Mera and Shadow combust in the best possible way. I will say that I had a few moments where my rage was nearly blinding while reading this…specifically during most / all of the second half of the book. I felt enraged for Mera during most of it. . . . . . . . . Spoilers below . . . . I’ll also say that this cliffhanger truly made me see red. I had to give myself a few days after finishing the book so that I didn’t let that taint my review. This book, this series is a 5 star for me…no doubt about it. But, that cliffhanger made me so mad. I am really really not a fan of using the memory erasing trope in stories like this. It’s been done so many times and every single time it just feels frustrating and a little like it’s cheapening the rest of the story honestly. Like when people want to hide something so they say they plead the 5th or in bad soap’s where the character gets amnesia to create drama. It’s just a tired trope that should be outdated and left that way. I’d much rather be left hanging in the middle of a scene than having memories erased. I mean…was it just Mera? Did Shadow’s get erased too? How did the others have memories from the past month like that? Were they fed false memories? Had she been there and just operating on auto pilot mode for a month? Did that much time actually go by after the end of the battle? Did erasing her memories suddenly erase her other abilities as well? What about Midnight…wouldn’t he still be bonded to her? I mean…the memory erasing just opened SO many more questions and all of them are annoying. BUT, despite that, this was still a 5 star read for me and still one of my favorite new series. I do absolutely love Shadow and I cannot wait for more!

More shadows and more shifters!
I’m sorry but what? WHAT? I need to have words with Ms Jaymin because what was that ending?! Ok I enjoyed Rejected a lot but she really upped the ante with Reclaimed. I loved this one so much. Mera and Shadow manage to sort themselves after the betrayals at the end of Rejected. Their mission to unlock the curse so Shadow can enter the Shadow Realm continues until Mera works her special brand of magic. Shadow, Mera and Angel make their way into the Shadow Realm to restore Shadow’s birthright. Shadow and Mera’s connection continues to grow and dear lord the chemistry between these two. But old frenemies are reunited and new secrets and betrayal are uncovered and it all culminates in an ending I absolutely did not see coming. I’m diving in to book 3 stat.

Could’ve been 4⭐️, dropped one for the cliffhanger
I really liked the first book, despite a few minor issues. It was fresh and kept my attention. This one got a little boring tbh. Mera’s jealousy, while fitting I guess for her age and situation was super annoying, as were her tstl moments with her wolf. I put it down few times because it couldn’t hold my attention. I really liked one of the reveals near the end and what could have been a fabulous fated, found family moment turned into the worst cliff hanger, just to be able to spread this plot out into another whole book. I’m part way through the third, even though I seriously considered dumping the series, and the plot is thiiiiiinnnnn and frustratingly angsty. I may finish it just to be able to read the rest of the series, which I know are all standalone books. I dunno. I feel like this should have been a duet and I’d have given a solid 4 star for both.
