Dad's are still cool just differently

Beautiful illustrations
This book is gorgeous, there’s not a whole lot of text but if you have someone who is this type of Dad then they could absolutely add their own tales of life on the road as they read. Got this as a Father’s Day gift for my husband from my daughter and he loved it.

Just buy it ya punks!!!
Perfect for my 2 year old niece. What really drew me to this book is that it is just a dad/son duo. I bought it for my brother-in- law for Father's Day/his daughters birthday. Every single person laughed at the title as it it was wasunwrapped, knowing he has yet to loose the "cool" factor yet...but man, will it happen as she gets older! Every member, young and old, read the book throughout the weekend and absolutely loved it. Nana even got a tad choked up. Perfect gift. Would absolutely buy again, and cannot wait to buy for my future children!

Sweet than I expected.
This is such an adorable book! I originally bought it as a cheeky joke for my husband, but it turned out to be a really sweet short story about why dad’s give up being cool. (It’s to be a parent!) It actually got me pretty emotional! I definitely recommend it for all dads with young kids in their lives.

Light prose, rich imagery - a hipster dad pleaser
Like the author's other book, “Tough Guys Have Feelings Too," this book is light on text and rich in sweet but not saccharine illustrations. With a tattooed mom and dad, instruments around the house and "uncles" who drive motorcycles, this book is a nice way for my preschooler to explore male relationships and the fact that life existed before his birth. This is a good book for adult readers who are comfortable expanding beyond the written words on the page, asking questions, reflecting on their ideas, etc., or for little ones beginning to read themselves.

Relatable for a lot of dads
A very sweet and funny book. Got it for my husband and baby as a joint Christmas gift! He got a kick out of it because of how relatable it was!

Emphasis on illustration not storytelling
Umm… it’s okay.It focuses more on the illustration than actual storytelling. Which makes sense cause it was made my an illustrator.the illustrations are nice, I just wish they had brought a little tiny bit more effort to the storytelling cause every page feels the exact same. It was like they’ve never seen a baby/children’s book before and assumed how hard could it be? Lol.

Great gift for a Father!
I got this for my husband for Father’s Day along with a special guitar pick. He loves it so much that he shows it to everyone who comes into our house. He likes the fact that the guy has tattoos and has a left handed guitar. I can’t wait until our little guy is old enough to understand the book.

Get a classic book instead
The graphics are nice and the idea is funny but the story is just boring. It just doesn’t have the magic of classic children’s books.
