A Dental Lifesaver for Retainer Users - Convenient and Effective!
As someone with a permanent retainer on my lower teeth, maintaining oral hygiene has always been a bit of a challenge. However, my discovery of the Glide Threader Floss in the 30-count single-use packets has been an absolute game-changer. This product has not only made cleaning my teeth hassle-free but has also left me thoroughly impressed. Here's why I believe this floss deserves a five-star review. First and foremost, the convenience factor of the Glide Threader Floss is simply unbeatable. The single-use packets are compact and easily portable, making them a must-have for individuals like me who are always on the go. Whether I'm at home, at work, or traveling, I can effortlessly slip a packet into my bag or pocket and ensure that I have a reliable dental hygiene solution at hand. The key highlight of this floss is its ingenious design that incorporates a threader. This feature has been a true lifesaver for me, as it allows me to navigate my permanent retainer with ease. Flossing around the retainer can be a tedious task, but the Glide Threader Floss simplifies the process significantly. The threader effortlessly guides the floss through tight spaces, ensuring thorough cleaning between teeth and around the retainer wires. I can confidently vouch for the effectiveness of the Glide Threader Floss in maintaining oral health. The floss is smooth and gentle on the gums, yet sturdy enough to effectively remove food particles and plaque. I no longer have to worry about the accumulation of debris around my retainer, thanks to this product's exceptional performance. One of the most noteworthy aspects of this product is the fantastic value it offers. The 30-count boxes provide ample supply for a prolonged period, making it a cost-effective investment in my dental care. The quality of the floss is remarkable considering the affordable price point, and I appreciate the company's commitment to providing an essential dental hygiene tool without breaking the bank. In conclusion, the Glide Threader Floss in the 30-count single-use packets is a must-have for anyone with dental appliances such as permanent retainers. Its portability, convenience, and efficient threader design make flossing a breeze, even around challenging areas. The quality of the floss, combined with the generous quantity in each box, makes this product an exceptional value for its price. I am genuinely grateful for the difference this floss has made in my dental hygiene routine and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others facing similar challenges.

High Quality
My dentist recommended that I buy the Glide Threader Floss for the two dental bridges I have in my mouth. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the quality of the floss. The floss is very easy to use. It conveniently comes in a box of 30 individual single-use packets. With the OK from my dentist, I do use the floss 2-3 times before discarding and wipe the floss in between uses with alcohol wipes. Each piece of floss comes with a built-in threader so it inserts easily under the bridge. The floss is smooth and soft so it glides easily and does not cause any irritation to the tissue under the bridge, yet it is strong enough that it does not shred. The only comment I have is regarding the length of the floss. Because it is too long for what I need it for, I cut about 1/3 of the floss off before using it. This is not problematic for me.....just to let you know! I agree with my dentist and recommend this floss as well!

Oral-B ruined a great product!!!
6/27/25: Found a great alternative/substitute/replacement for this product (https://a.co/d/dZJlvdw). You can thank me later. This product has completely changed and definitely not for the better. The OG (Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Threader Floss) was an amazing product - individually-wrapped, waxed threader floss that worked perfectly for people like me who have permanent retainers. Used it for years and almost never had any issues (occasionally a knot would form when unrolling the floss, which really wasnโt a big deal). Just a great product that didnโt need to be changed at all. Lo and behold, some genius at Oral-B decided that this fantastic product needed to be updated. This updated product (Oral-B Threader Floss) is just a terrible product. First of all, itโs no longer waxed - thatโs a huge downgrade. Not only that, now the floss is like a fluffy cotton that just drags against my metal retainer and shreds along the way. Using it is such an unpleasant experience for me that I canโt even fathom how anyone else could stand to use it. MAYBE if you donโt have a permanent retainer you can get away with using it, but even then it doesnโt feel good using this stuff below your gum line. Itโs just too thick and thereโs too much friction. Donโt even bother buying this anywhere but in person - thatโs the only way at you can be sure that you get the original version (plenty of people have posted pictures of the packaging you need to look for). Everyone should call and/or write to Oral-B to complain about this garbage new product That and not buying the new version is probably all we can do to try to get them to bring the old version back. As for myself, Iโll be buying up all of the old stock at my local stores. Once thatโs all gone, Iโll have to find an alternative Never using the new version again.

FINALLY A SOLID ONE PIECE THREADER THAT WORKS EASILY
FINALLY !! Floss threader that actually works with snug bridges and around anchor teeth The kind i had discontinued, but this is the same brand They are excellent And very user-friendly all in one piece Thank you, Oral-B Because none of the other replacement flosses that you had worked at all they shredded they were too tight. It was just terrible but now this oneโs great.

Much better than old-school blue plastic threaders
When I was younger, I had tons of orthodontic work and had to use the old school blue plastic threaders with regular floss. My daughter got her braces on this past Spring and they sent her home with a ton of those blue threaders. I thought, "Oh, great, she's going to get so frustrated." After looking more in her sample bag from the orthodontist, they had included one sample of these Oral-B Threader Floss packets. I opened the package and was amazed and slightly jealous that they didn't have these "back in the day" lol. After trying each of the types of threaders, my daughter was in love with these (as much as you can love flossing I guess, lol). My mom visited recently and she has a permanent retainer on the bottom. She spotted the pack and started going on and on about how much she loved them and she was glad she didn't have to use the blue plastic ones in order to floss. They seem pretty durable. My daughter says that the floss will shred if it gets hooked on a bracket, but that's rare and would happen with any type of floss I think (she said maybe once a month that this happens). The hardened tip makes it easy for her to thread in between the brackets and seems to hold up for the entire flossing session (unless it shreds, then she gets another). The price is comparable to what we would pay at the grocery store locally if you just order one packet. I use the Subscribe & Save and it makes it to where they are slightly cheaper, plus I don't have to worry about running to the store if she runs out. Definitely recommend for anyone with orthodontic work.

This is it, the best solution for braces
The first thing I noticed when I got braces (round 2, wear your retainers kids) was my usual ritual of hitting up the Glide Pro-Health floss was totally out. I think Glide makes the best floss, on the opposite end of the spectrum of that stuff you can buy at gas stations which is about as good as a thread from a dirty shirt. At first I tried what I was given, to loop or tie it on those fishing line threaders. That's like running hard, pokey plastic through your teeth before each pull, and accidentally biting down is like getting a small piece of bone, almost enough to break a tooth I swear. You would be forgiven for thinking those were the only solution looking in stores or from what the orthodontist says, it's only thanks to Amazon I ever heard of these. This integrates a bit of rigid line in the end of the floss, unimpeded by annoying bumps or knots (unless you make one, which will be as gentle as doing that with Glide normally). I did have to deduct a star because it is possible to pull the threader back and have it peel open. The thread does not shred in a low quality fashion, it's just it may slowly peel back starting at the base of the threader, revealing a bit of hard line that not only could poke you with extra hard leverage, but perhaps contains a slightly odd, although not orally unsafe adhesive. Really I've only done this a few times, and I probably shouldn't be pulling the threader backwards even though I like to. Plus it's that internal hint of firm, waxy gel that really gives this its bend and push and makes it work so well. I'm just happy I can keep using Glide like nothing's changed, and I'm sure I'll keep these on hand even when I'm done with braces.

RUINED a perfect product
I absolutely loved the original product and have been using it for over a decade. It was perfect and no other brand offered anything like it. The new floss is TERRIBLE in every way. The floss now has a really weird cotton string in the middle that a) is not as effective for cleaning and b) falls apart as soon as you use it one time. I loved the precious packets ~ the original floss worked SO well around braces and teeth that are close together for cleaning. The floss itself was sturdy and could be used multiple times. This new floss is horrible. I will never repurchase. Please bring back the original floss. You have destroyed a unique product that people loved and replaced it with something that doesnโt even work.
