Great Gag Gift, Terrible Snack
I got this for a dirty santa. The reactions were great. The goft recipient did not like it. Said it had a horrible texture and needed more seasoning.

Not Worth It Anymore
The first time I bought this, it was 20 USD in 2019 for 2 zebra tarantula in their own little plastic bags in a can (with an oxygen absorber of course). Now in 2024, it's 35 USD for 1 tarantula in an enclosed plastic ramekin in an envelope.I'm saddened to see that these reached such high costs with lower quantity. The value has regressed.I'm not bothered that they are a lot smaller than they are displayed or if they are broken as long as it's recognizable as a spider. It's been boiled and dehydrated; cooked foods shrink; dehydrated foods shrink more. It's not supposed to be a juicy snack. If it had liquid, it wouldn't last the shipping duration from Thailand to Rhode Island to the customer's location. What do you all expect when it's food from an overseas country and says "dehydrated"?

Y'all have no idea how much I wanted to like these!
I am an enthusiastic eater! I have wanted to explore insects as food because of the information about the protein source they provide. Don't order these. They're disgusting. I am just starting to dabble in entomology as a viable food source and this product makes me never want to try again. I still feel like I have cricket legs in my throat

Gift for a white elephant Christmas present.
The package is microscopic in size. Extremely expensive for the amount you receive. They are nasty tasting. 🤮

Awesomely Gag worthy!
These were awesome! I bought this since for Valentines Day our daughter decided she was going to take chocolate covered crickets to school since a friend wanted them. Since chocolate covered bugs are EXPENSIVE I bought this and had her make her own out of chocolate chips. She almost threw up and took a shower afterwards. It was amazing hearing the sounds that were coming out of the kitchen while she was making them. She ate some and her friends ate some as well.I think that the quantity was good, I didn't really see how much was in the bag since, well it stunk and eating bugs is only on my agenda if my survival depends on it. It is definitely not on my bucket list at all. If you love them, that is cool. I hope that this does not get any pro bug eaters panties upset and twisted.

Cousin puked! Very funny.
I bought theses as a gift for my father in law, trying to surprise him (I get him exotic jerkies every year) and knew he wouldn't expect this. He ended up paying me and my cousin to eat it, I did half no problem. Very dry like a mummy. The cousin..he couldn't keep it down. Made great Christmas memories!

They look like bugs!
This was super fun to try some insects as a party snack. We took it to a friend's and everyone (kids and adults) tried at least one, most of us had 2 or 3. There was plenty to go around as tasters. The bugs are are mostly in tact, some lets were missing, but you could definitely see what they were; eyeballs, legs and all parts. examining them first made the tasting so much worst (better!). The grasshoppers and crickets were grassy tasting, the larva looking things were very bitter, and there was not enough salt to balance the flavor. The novelty was fun and super cringey, but honestly, I think they should have been $5 or $6, not $14. Otherwise, it was a good experience.
