Breathable, Comfy, Order half size larger (read to find out why)
I ordered an 11 and it was too small, I ordered the 11.5 and it fits well with room in the toe box for thicker socks or toe socks. I usually wear an 11 in US men's shoes, often wearing Vans in 11 US (44.5CM) size with a proper fit. I learned I had to pay attention to the EUR CM when buying shoes because sometimes the US 11 doesn't correspond with the same EUR 44.5 from different manufacturers. This was the case with the Columbia brand. The 44.5 actually corresponds with the US 11.5.Very pleased to see Made in Taiwan on the tags of all the Columbia foot wear I've seen so far, including these. They look well made, with double stitches in the right places, and plenty of sole material. These shoes are extremely comfortable. I went on a walk with my dogs and noticed bounce in my step and support in all the right places. These shoes are very breathable. I can feel the breeze cooling my usually overheated feet. They gripped well on wet asphalt, cement, grass, and dirt. I will update after my first hike.

SIZE ISSUE - Overseas "sizes" must be different than American "sizes"
After years of wearing Columbia shoes; this is the second pair I purchased which were too narrow. These shoes were advertised as a "wide" size. I compared them to a pair of Asics sneakers and a pair of Skechers walking shoes, that I own. See the photo below.. Asics on left-Columbia in center-Skechers on right). All are advertised 10 1/2, and labeled as "WIDE." It's obvious that the Columbia hiking shoes are much narrower than the other two shoes. Granted..they are different styles of shoe; but....I could just barely get my foot into the Columbia shoe. After walking a short distance, it became painfully obvious to me that I couldn't wear them. They are being returned.I would suggest to those responsible, that they stop IMPORTING items from overseas!!! But we all know that won't happen. It's time for me to stop buying "sized" items on Amazon; and start getting back into the stores where items can be tried on.

Very comfortable and durable
These shoes are great. They ran a bit too tight for me initially, but then stretched out over time and became a perfect fit after about a week or two. Eventually they became my default choice for camping and almost any activity - casual cycling, running, hiking, etc. These shoes are also extremely durable: I used them for about 4.5 years 3-4 times a week indoors (cycling, running, etc) and outdoors in various conditions - just walking, hiking in the rain, rock climbing, walking on the dirt (gravel/trails), sitting next to the fire while camping, etc. And they still kept a pretty decent shape after all that. I mean, obviously some scratches, few minor tears, but I'd still use them for few more years I think if I was not moving and getting rid of all the old shoes that finally needed to get retired. Definitely recommend these as a pair of really good "working" activity shoes.

They run small; order at least 1/2 size up!
I ordered these half a size up because I was going to use them for hiking but even in a men's size 7 (i'm female and my size in men's should actually be 6.5), they're still pretty tight! I ordered a pair of Merrells hiking shoes in the same size as these at the same time (only they were specifically women's size) and I was surprised by how much bigger and looser they fit!Because of that, I'd say order these at least 1/2 size up and maybe even go a full size up if you're right on the edge of your size. I didn't notice anything wrong with the width, but I don't usually have problems with width (and they are still tight so keep that in mind). For me, the sizing wasn't the main problem. I hike every day and go through a pair of hiking shoes probably every 3-4 months (when not alternating them) so I've tried a lot of different brands and styles. These are nice-looking shoes--you would be able to wear them anywhere, not just hiking--and they're comfortable, but as far as hiking goes, I can tell these wouldn't be able to stand up long to the beating I will give them (the plastic treads on these will wear out on me within a couple of months--if they even manage last that long).I like the style (they aren't clunky) so I was mainly disappointed with the tread on these. If you're only a weekend hiker or you're just going to use these for your everyday casual shoe these should be fine, provided you get them in the correct size.

Factory Seconds!!!!!
I have a pair that I purchased from Dick's sporting goods. These from Amazon were very much factory seconds. The finish and glueing are off line and the sole is cupped. I don't mind buying factory seconds, but not when they are implied to first quality. The shoes are serviceable.

Update; Pure Garbage Probably not the best hiking shoe
I've only had these for a couple of days. Some things I've noticed so far are:The heel is more like a running shoe and way too narrow and rounded for a hiking shoe.Holding the shoe up to a light I can see that they should be very breathable. The sole is nice and hard with a tread pattern that should shed mud well. The toe is a little narrow but nothing uncomfortable. The laces are substantial and not too long. Most of the sole padding is in the insole. Whick looks like it's hold up for maybe a year with daily use.In summation, I could climb Mudlick Mountain in these but there are better choices. I'll use these as weekend wearers for yardwork and general outside around the house shoes. They should be better than regular tennies for that.

Very comfortable walking shoes
Great fit, lightweight and good grip. Although a bit more difficult to put on, since the heal of the shoe molds around the ankle and Achilles's tendon. The sole in rounded and not flat, so ankle support is not as solid as in other shoes that have a widening flatter sole. But great for walking around town or on simple trails. Breathes very well.
