Constructed of high performance stainless steel, the unique blades have been treated by a proprietary process that creates a beautiful rain pattern in the knife blade. This pattern acts as both a design feature and a function. The raised pattern reduces drag and surface tension across the blade which helps in cutting and having food stick to the surface of the knife. The handles are designed to be the most comfortable and ergonomic, putting your hand into the most efficient position for cutting. The handles are constructed of g-10 material. Made in the USA ergonomic slicer
This knife comes razor sharp and has a nice heft and feel to it. The angle works well for cutting at kitchen counter height. Each one has a random pattern resembling rain on the blade which is a moderate non-stick finish.The razor sharp, thin blade design can cut see-through slices of tomato or garlic. The only reason it isn't five stars is the lack of an integral bolster.The tip of this knife comes to a point that is needle sharp. I found that it was not necessary to keep the point that sharp for my use of the knife (mainly a paring and slicing knife) so I ground it down slightly with a coarse diamond sharpening stone.
