Is there a cover for this one, I do not see one shown?

As of July 2022, it does come with a cover.

What type of battery?

It is both solar and battery powered. I have had mine for 22 years and have never needed a new battery. The batteries power is restored by the solar. If you think you need to replace the battery it can be replaced on the back of the calculator with 4 small screws. Not sure of the type since I have never had to replace mine but you can look there.

If you attempt a square root that is not a perfect square will it simplify or not? (I.E. square root of 45) I need to know this for my finals.
