Illustrations showed this with the flat portion on the receiver and the angled portion on the bar. /-- But I had to install it the other way --/. Even so, it seems to have eliminated any wobble of the hitch tow bar. :) So it does what it's supposed to do. We haven't taken any long trips with it yet, so long-term remains to be seen. Short trips went very well.

No more side to side wobbles and noisy hitch banging around. The trailer now pulls straight and quiet.

Really tightens up the Reese hitch. my adjustable one was a bit wobbly and it was a little annoying hearing and feeling it move around on me. This tightened it right up, no wiggle at all.would recommend

Easy install. Those reviewers who stripped the nuts must have violated the age old rule: Never over tighten anything. Make it snug and tight.

Do you hate your receiver/hitch making rattling noise? Do you not trust your hitch pin and maybe one day the pin will come loose and you might cause total carnage?This little bracket mounts quickly and easily. Unfortunately, it sort of defeats the purpose of a "quick release" hitch receiver. Now you're gonna need a wrench (5/8/16mm) to loosen/remove this bracket so you can rotate/swap your ball. But the bracket does give another feature where it sort of provides an extra layer of security regarding fusing the hitch to the receiver so you are not 1000% hostage to that dumb hitch pin never failing.Maybe "wing nuts" might be an option to facilitate a quick change?
