Edit: I thought this would wear out quicker, but after 5 years, I'm still wearing it (picture taken this morning). Moleskin DOES weather quickly - but only in it's color. It stops losing its color after the second wash and has not really changed after regular winter use for 5 years. I probably wash it 2 times per winter since our winters here are short.Anyone growing up in the 1980's may remember the BW jacket. Before and after reunification Germany was completely awash with these jackets. Most had been used by young men during their compulsory draft-service in the Bundeswehr, and simply had no use for them after their obligatory service was completed. This created a secondary market for military clothing that actually became the supply of the military surplus industry that saw it's peak in the mid-1980's through the 1990's.The first thing I did with my jacket purchased in 2019 was to cut off the German flags. Nothing against Germany. I have family there. I just dont like wearing labels. I noted quickly that the flag was sewn on with lazer precision and thread the strength of steel cable. I did end up fraying a few threads, but this was mendable.I would buy this again. My wife doesnt like the epaulets, but I'm nostalgic for them. They reminded me of when I returned from Germany wearing this same jacket in 1986, and for a single day, I felt like the coolest dressed kid in my school.JHAOriginal Review: Hard to write a review. I absolutely love the jacket, it's almost exactly as I expected it to be. The only complaint I have is that the inner left-side breast pocket is rather high up on the inside of the jacket making it a little difficult to get things in and out of while wearing it. Other than that it's perfect.

Too damn small for an XL.

Not sure if sizes got lost in translation, but it doesn't fit at all as expected. Usually a large is a bit big on me, but this is tight, and the sleeves are too short. If it was available I'd order an XL Long right now. Great coat otherwise, some kid's going to find a winner at the thrift store.

Es una chaqueta de estilo militar. Es bastante fina, no es de invierno, mas bien de entre tiempo o para taparse un poco. Si hace frio, no te sirve. El color es un caqui que combina bien con todo y para cada día.
