Fantastic chandelier for our foyer
We installed this beautiful chandelier in our 2 storey foyer ( about 18ft high). Make no mistake the installation was hell but the looks are worth the efforts and pain. The pictures do not do 100% justice but the chandelier is soooooo beautiful. Once installed it makes all your heads turn, we keep the lights on during the day just to enjoy the beauty :) The item came neatly packed in the box and it was 30+ pounds. Several members gave detailed reviews with installation instructions, so it helped us cut out the nonsense and go straight to the required steps. The box came with the chandlier base, cover plate, 115 wires, 115 + 4 crystals, 8 drywall anchors and screws and an instruction sheet. The wires came in pairs in 58 different numbered covers. It will be good to have at least 2 people doing the job. We used gu10 base 50w equivalent LED bulbs. Step1: the cover plate has 115 small round hooks to hang the wires. Start numbering them 1 thru 58 clockwise and 1 thru 58 counterclockwise as shown in the instruction sheet using a sharpie. 15-30 minutes. Step2: at the identified location on the ceiling connect the electrical wires and using the 8 drywall anchors to fix the base to the ceiling. 30minutes, 1hr if you are new to the job. Step3: fix the cover plate to the base and fix the gu10 base bulbs. 15 minutes. Step4: hang 1 crystal to each wire. Make sure the wires are grouped by the numbers on their covers. Keeping the wires according to the numbers is the most important step. 1hour. Step5: the second person can start handing over the wires with crystal to the person on the ladder starting from #1. Make sure the wires are not tangled with each other ( by the way they have a tendency to tangle) when you hang them. 1 to 2 hours. We took help of a handyman to perform steps 2, 3 and 5 since we needed a 20ft tall ladder. The steps 1 & 4 were performed by us. This was a 4hour job from beginning to end for 3 people including handyman. Totally worth all the effort and money. Bonus: if sunlight falls on the chandelier, then you will see beautiful reflections all around the room ( see picture #4).

Exquisite!!
Beautiful!!! This is the word that I can use to describe this amazing chandelier. It truly is the highlight of my home. It is huge and sparkles like diamonds. The lights are super bright and it looks like diamonds raining from the ceiling. I like how the crystals come individually packaged on the strings so as to not get tangled up. The electrician did have to get help in order to hang it because it is heavy and my ceiling foyer is super high. I like how in the mornings when the sun shines through the picture window it casts rainbows all over the house!! It's amazing. My recommendations would be to make sure whoever hangs it has help, the right supports for the ceiling due to its weight and also make sure they wear the fabric gloves as to not leave fingerprints on the mirrored surface. Another tip would be to spend the extra money to get the led bulbs with the longest life because it will be a task to have the bulbs changed. I think we purchased the 15yr bulbs. Don't hesitate to buy it!!

Beautiful and easy to install!
We have been looking at this chandelier for a while but were on the fence because of the reviews about the difficulty of assembly. I was under the impression that all the wires all came separately and required assembly. Despite this, the looks finally won out and we ordered it. Perhaps the manufacturer finally listened to the reviews but when it arrived, all the wires were pre-attached to the base. Each was wrapped in a small, individually numbered ziplock bag. I wish I had taken pictures :-( There is one #1 (the center wire), then two of each number up to 58 as they spiral up and out from the center. Super easy! All you have to do after hanging the base is to let the baggies dangle from the center. Again each one is numbered. We started from #1 in the center and worked our way outward. Some reviewers have said to hang the crystals last but we found that the wires hang straighter and are less apt to get tangled if we hung the crystals to each wire as we unspooled them. Just remember to work from the inside out so you don't have to reach through wires that you've already hung. No problem! One hint: when you grab each wire to remove it from the ziplock bag, make sure you hold onto it. Otherwise, it will spring out by itself and get tangled up. Instead, remove it from the bag, then grab each side with your thumb and forefinger so it stays coiled. Then, alternately release one side at a time then regrasp (itsy bitsy spider-style) and allow one revolution of the wire to unspool at a time. This will prevent tangling 90% of the time. If it does get crossed, do not pull! This will kink the wire and, while still usable, it will not look as good as if it were straight. Once fully uncoiled, hang the crystal at the end. The weight will keep the wire straight and will prevent tangling with the other wires. No matter what, you'll inevitably bump a wire and it will tangle with an adjacent one but be patient. It's worth it in the end! Uncoiling and hanging is a two person job. One will have to hand the crystals to the other once the wires are straight. So glad the manufacturer has simplified the assembly process! If you were worried about assembly, don't be. At the end of the day, this is a beautiful chandelier. We got compliments on it from day 1! Hope this helps.

Stunning!!! The finished product certainly exceeded my expectations.
The assembled chandelier is simply beautiful! The crystals capture and reflect light quite brilliantly. It has a simple elegance that will tie things nicely as we add modern updates to our colonial style home. Please note that my overall rating is on the product itself and each area in this review should be viewed separately. Installation - By the very nature of this item, installation is more complicated because of the placement. TO INSTALL THIS FIXTURE PROPERLY, IT REQUIRES MODERATE SKILL LEVEL WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO SAFETY. I strongly urge you to CONSIDER PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IF YOU ARE A NOVICE DIYer. I have some background in construction work and my Installation involved setting up scaffolding and using a harness for safety. Assembly - Patience is key and an extra pair of hands is helpful. The instructions are straightforward but do understand that this light fixture is more elaborate than most. Value for the money - If this falls within your style and taste you won't be disappointed. Great bang for your buck.

Very pretty light, tricky installation
I just installed this light onto a 20 foot ceiling over a staircase. I really like the effect of the light, it's so pretty with all the crystals showering down! I'm very glad that I installed this light, and I feel that it is a good value, though I did invest several hours to put it up. I used a scaffold to reach my high ceilings, and I found this to be helpful because it provided a platform to put my tools and all the crystals, which really minimized the times I had to go up and down. There are a few things to I learned and wanted to share about this installation: 1. This light does not mount directly to the electrical box (that would have been much simpler). Instead, the base of the light is mounted to the ceiling at 9 pre-drilled points that are arranged throughout the base. I do not believe that the hardware that is provided is sufficient to mount this 35 lb fixture to a drywall ceiling, which is what I was working with. If you read the instructions, you will see that they recommend using the hardware provided only to mount directly into wood or concrete, in which case I'm sure it'd be fine. I was able to find 3 mounting holes that were in a straight line that I could use to mount directly to the ceiling beam that the electrical box was connected to. For the other pre-drilled points, I used toggle bolts to attach them to the dry wall ceiling. 2. To make it easier to mark the points I had to drill, I made a template of the 9 holes on a large piece of paper that I then taped to the ceiling to drill the pilot holes for my screws/toggle bolts. I did not feel that I could hold up the light base with one hand while marking the holes all while standing precariously at the top of a high scaffold, so this solution made it easier to get the holes in the right place. 3. Most of the installation was fine for me to do alone, but It was helpful for me to have my husband hold the light base up while I made the electrical connections and also while I was trying to get all the toggle bolts through the drywall. Again, it was helpful to have the scaffold that could hold both of us for this step. Alternatively, if there were a surface to set the light base on close to the ceiling while doing the above steps, then I think it'd be feasible to do this installation alone. 4. The canopy that goes over the light base only fits in one conformation. While the screws that hang down from the light base that go through the canopy can be made to go through the canopy in a variety of ways, only one conformation will also make the light sockets line up with the holes cut in the canopy for the lights. My light came with the canopy attached to the base correctly, so when you remove the canopy (which you have to do to install the base), make sure you mark or otherwise remember the conformation it is in. It's good to do this so that you won't be struggling with trying to get a canopy on a base in the right way high up in the air! 5. Also just FYI, the canopy is sharp in some places. I tried to not leave fingerprints and handled the canopy through the holes cut out for the light bulbs. This was not a good idea because they were thin, unfinished metal edges, one of which sliced my finger. I think the included glove may have helped if I had worn them during this step. Otherwise, be careful. 6. Once the base and canopy are installed safely, then the rest is basically smooth sailing. Yes, installing the crystals is a little tedious, but it's not nearly as tricky as getting the light base securely on the ceiling. I recommend keeping track of what number string you're working on and have a system to systemically get through all the strings. Taking them out one at a time and attaching the crystal before going to the next string worked well for me to prevent tangles. Overall, I love the way the light looks and I'm glad I took the time to install it!

Gorgeous!!
This is a LARGE statement chandelier; and the statement is โI am a ballerโ. ๐ Even knowing the dimensions, I was a little taken back; though it fits in our entryway as expected. It provides a deal of light and is supposed to be dimmable (we have not installed a dimmer switch to try it out yet). The hanging process is a bit tedious: The hardware, as others have mentioned, is insufficient for the weight of the crystals. We replaced everything and used Wall Dog anchors for added security. The strands must be released in numerical orderโ check ahead that all are installed. We found several loose bags in our box as we went, and several more strands fell out of the base when we unbagged them; luckily none fell to the ground. That being said, the chandelier was sent smartly, the strands are numbered clearly and fall from the ziplock bags with minimal tangling. As each is dropped, a heavy crystal ball must be clipped onto the end. (The company even included soft white gloves to avoid smudges!) With one person handing them to another on a ladder, each wearing one glove, it took about an hr to install. The end result is spectacularโbut I am not looking forward to figuring out how to clean it! ๐ฌ๐ Highly recommendโjust take note of the size, have a large ladder available, and expect a lengthy install.

Beautiful chandelier but challenging to install if doing it yourself
This is a beautiful chandelier once you get it installed. Assembling the parts is pretty simple if you follow the instructions, but I found that mounting the actual base was the biggest challenge. We have a typical drywall ceiling with an existing round metal electrical junction box, but the base of this chandelier has 8 screw holes that don't attach to the junction box. So we had to climb into our attic to add some additional 2x4 wood support behind the drywall to match up with where the screw holes would be. That was definitely the most time-consuming part of the install, but after that everything went smoothly and the end result is amazing. Just be sure that you support the base properly into the ceiling, since the chandelier weights about 40 pounds. Overall we highly recommend this if you've got a high ceiling foyer.
