Just what we needed for Guest bedroom
We received this product in perfect condition. It was well packaged. All the pieces & hardware were included with no defects. It came in 1 box. It is heavy & we used our dolly to transport in the house to the bedroom. Took all the pieces out & there are many. My husband built it & said it was easy it just takes time. It took him about 3 hours to assemble. It has a good look to the piece & the inside of the drawers are finished & roomy. We are very happy with the piece. The one thing I would do if I had the tools would be to use the back cardboard of the cabinet as a template & have a thin wood back cut for the back of the chest. However you do not see that from inside the cabinet at all.

You will need purchase extra hardware
This is a nice dresser for a good price. Assembly was relatively easy, HOWEVER, the design of the drawers does NOT secure the front of the drawers to the rest of it drawer itself. This was a true design issue. After extensive review of the manual, the company website, and their self-help videos, it was clear to me that this was a manufacturing oversight.I had to go to Home Depot and buy L-shaped brackets in order to internally secure the front of the drawers to the sides. I bought 4 brackets per drawer (so 16 total) and used #6 1/2 inch screws for securing the brackets. I also followed a fellow-purchaser's advice of using wood glue to secure all places where the pieces met. This was a valuable bit of advice, adding quite a bit of extra stability.Due to this additional purchase & work, I'm disappointed in the purchase. IF this would not have been necessary, I would have given this a 5-star review. It's a solid piece (except for the cardboard back), is an attractive dresser, and has tons of storage.

Not bad for the price
I read a lot of the review and took a chance. For the price, which is dirt cheap for a new dresser of this size, I wonder what some of the reviewers expected. Yes, it is particle board. Structurally, it is sound. It is made to sit on a floor, hold your clothes in an organized way, and look decent. It is not made to use as a punching bag, to dance on, or to roll down a flight of stairs. The directions were absolutely straight forward and easy to follow. My only word of caution is that the corners are very sharp. You do not want to bang your head, your knee or even scrape your arm while passing this dresser. I have a scar to prove my point I get it that it is particle board. However, a little round over on the edges would have made this a much better, much safer piece of furniture which is why I gave it **** stars. Put it in a safe place, away from toddlers and foot traffic. I will likely take my router and run a small round over bit across the outer edges, then apply some matching dark stain with poly on the edges.

USE WOOD GLUE
This is a great spare dresser for my guest room. But, use wood glue on all wood-to-wood connections and contacts. Same as with all manufactured, build-it-yourself furniture. If you apply a good bead of wood glue where the flat parts of the fiberboard connect, along the seam of where the tightening bolts are, your product will last many more years than if you don’t use it. I’ve been doing this for years, and it works. Just have a few warm, wet paper towels on hand to rub off the glue that squeezes out in the seam on the visible parts. Trust me, things last much longer with just a simple bit of wood glue on the connecting parts.

Nice looking
Took awhile to assemble. One drawer front arrived damaged even though it was well packed. I ordered a replacement which arrived within 3 days. It looks great!

Beautiful. Sturdy and relatively easy to build.
The product came in a solid, but very heavy box - recommend two people at least help out. I was able to put the dresser together by myself fairly easily, so it would be even easier/convenient with one other person helping. The aesthetics definitely fits my style - rustic dark wood but with a contemporary flair. I don't mind that it's heavy particle board as it is not a flimsy product. I can definitely see it lasting a long time, however I would caution against placing anything that might transfer moisture onto it.The drawers are deep in height and in depth, which is perfect for bulk clothing. I also like the top drawer being differentiated from the other three, can be used as a "junk" drawer if desired. The drawers slides smoothly and are adjustable with a screw in case it needs more evening out.It stands solidly enough, but there is a support screw if you have children running around knocking things over or climbing on furniture.I don't find it to be too tall, but you definitely don't want to put an additional shelf on top especially if you're any shorter than 5'8.Overall, this is a sturdy easily assembled dresser that seems to be good long-term keep. The design scheme is pretty flawless without going over the top.

Great product all around!
I have to say, Sauder makes excellent products for the price. This dresser is the perfect size for my small apartment (400sqft). This product can be easily assembled by one person if you have experience with similar furniture builds. I have had this product for 8 months now and it has proven to be sturdy and surprisingly resistant to scratching. I thought for sure there would be some superficial damage but it looks brand new to this day. The drawers slide easily and never stick, if you do encounter misaligned drawers there is a way to adjust this on the tracking. One thing to note about all Sauder products, they are particle board but it is the sturdiest particle board I've ever encountered. With that said it is important to note that this dresser is heavier than you'd expect, heavy enough that I found it is never at risk of tipping over when all the drawers are open (if you do have kids or plan on putting heavy items in the drawers its always a good idea to anchor any furniture to the wall). The Coffee Oak finish is one of my all-time favorite finishes from Sauder as it gives a very high-end look for an affordable price.
