1st go study some YouTube videos on the K-60 and maintaining it. 2nd get a grease gun and some red and tacky grease because they need to be greased when new. Factory puts in a squeeze and that’s all! Second disassemble the drive handle and apply some grease to pin and gear area. None was found there? 3rd if you buy this full kit and cable carrier with 7/8 inch cable pull them out of carrier and look at each end of the 15 foot sections. You will see some good spot welds or some crazy bad ones. I had to break out angle grinder with sanding disk to dress up the high spot welds. And then found one weld covering the release pin opening and had to sand that down? No Quality control in welding! After all that fun your now ready to use the drain cleaner. Just used it to do single family ranch house with 60 foot run from building line to street and main sewer line. This machine is a beast. And it cut through 4 inch PVC pipe joint that transitioned to Old clay pipe. Where the tree root intrusion was found. At about 65 feet we hit blockage and worked cutting head back and forth for 10 minutes until sewer flushed like Niagara Falls. As we removed the cable it was full of tree roots and muck. So when done drag cables out and onto driveway and hose it down and pick out the tree roots. Give cables and the feed hose a good rinse and let them drip dry in the sun. Then wipe down the K-60, Will some hot water and pine sol to make all smell nice again. After drying store in garage for the next attack of killer trees? Or when your neighbor asks for help? Either way K-60SP is a keeper. Now to buy a 5/8 inch cable and maybe another 75 feet of 7/8 inch.along with some other head attachments for next time?

Paid for itself in the first month. We had a lot of plugged sewers to clean, worked very good. Good power. Authentic ridgid machine. The whip works great in tight basements with a bunch of clutter, quite a few heads to choose from. We were always losing heads and keys so it’s nice it comes with a box. We also had the same cables do u may want to consider purchasing more cables if you don’t already have them
