Neat little system, a bit spendy, but my deck is looking really nice. You have to get a little creative on your starting board or in tight areas. Make sure you pickup some regular deck screws. You don't need a ton of regular deck screws but they'll come in handy. For the most part I was able to hide my deck screws without anyone seeing them. Seems like a great idea seeing how all my old deck boards rotted around the screws on top, maybe this will work better. These screws don't start very well outside the jig, so they aren't like regular deck screws. They are thinner with a flat tip, so not as easy to start outside the jig.

I'm a computer guy, not a carpenter. I used the Camo deck screw system when I replaced all of the surface boards on my 550 sq foot deck with cedar 2x6 and it turned out amazing! I LOVE THIS SYSTEM!! The built-in spacing in the tool made my spacing turn out far better than I could've done any other way. We love the fact that we have no screw holes through the top of the deck. I didn't strip one screw. I didn't bend any screws. I screwed through knots without issue. I loved being able to just set the new screws into the holders and drive them in. Some of the boards I installed without a helper and I was able to use a pry bar with one arm to persuade the board where I needed it to go and could easily drive it in with the other hand running the drill. A++ guys on a great product design.

This thing rocks. It is actually very sturdy which I was surprised with. I put my weight down on it several times spacing stubborn boards and it didn’t crack or anything. The tool itself I think is worth it. The screws are cheap, blunt, and upwards of %5 of my box were culls( bent, misprinted heads) I just picked through them when I grabbed a handful. Otherwise, awesome little tool!

Very easy to use, definitely a superior fastener system than the hidden fasteners that the major composite decking companies are selling. And the cost per fastener is about half the cost!

Great product, installation was easy with a smooth finished look. Make sure the tool is flat on the deck board to ensure the screw holes remain hidden when viewed from the side. Practice with a sample piece of decking to learn how the tool works. Screws can be easily removed to replace a board, just like the product description indicates. Get some knee pads and install your deck without the look of screws from the top!

Caught a glimpse of this product in use on "This Old House", and decided to give it a try while building our family's new deck and wheelchair ramp. I love it. Very easy to use and simple to explain to any helpers. End result looks great with no visable screw holes in all your decking boards.HINT: Order a second CAMO tool to keep things moving along at a quicker pace.

The Camo Deck Fastening system works great. Used this product to finish the decking portion of a 570 sq ft deck and pergola. The screws go in well and hold very well. Use of the Camo tool allows even deck board spacing for a very finished look.Fastening goes pretty quickly and there were enough screws for the size of my deck.Product arrived on time and was securely packaged.

If you're careful, the boards look great. However, you have to be careful not to let the board lift off the joist or go in the wrong angle.
