Great BiFocal Safety Glasses
I'm 46 and wear reading glasses. It's gotten to the point I have to put on my reading glasses to see the tape measure, see to cut the line with a saw, etc - until now. These things are awesome! They have built in bifocals. Look down through the bifocal, you can see up close. Look up or straight ahead and you see through the regular safety glass. The bifocal part of the glasses is slightly oversized - for example, big enough so you can see the saw blade and the line you're cutting, not say just one tiny spot. The quality of the lenses seems good too. Objects are clear and sharp. They are stylish enough for a variety of uses and inexpensive enough to be disposable or easily replaceable - light and comfortable too. They even come with a protective sleeve to protect the lenses. Just remember... this is a review for $13.00 safety glasses, not $300.00 prescription glasses. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. I just ordered a second pair with the smoked lenses for working outside (or reading a book on the beach, or sunglasses that let me see to tie a fly when fly fishing, you get the idea). Highly recommended!

Dewalt is best for the workshop, Phillips is best for biking
I bought a pair of these for bike riding. Sure, you can get the Oakley blades or other fancy eyewear, but safety glasses are cheap, they protect the eyes from bugs, grit, gravel, and rain, and they have bifocal lenses for folks who need them. I bought glasses by Phillips, Elvex, and Dewalt. I like the Phillips best for riding because the bifocal part is low enough to not obstruct my view of the road, but I can still look down and read my speedometer. They are the most comfortable, and they fit more closely to my face so they are both aerodynamic and cut down on cold air coming in around the edges. In the workshop, I prefer the Dewalts, which have bigger magnifying lens so I don't have to push them up on my nose or tilt my head back to look at small, close things. They are also comfortable. Unfortunately, the magnifying lens takes up too much of my field of view for bike riding, so when my Phillips glasses broke (stepped on them), I had to wear the Elvex glasses, which are the least comfortable, not quite right for riding, not quite right for the shop. The Dewalts came with a neoprene cover, which is nice.

Solid protection, stays on your head
A must have for any shop, bought 3 pair to have them handy near all machines. Very clear plastic, the sleeve is not of much use though. They stay on your head when you lean over. The bifocal is a great feature for many of us so you can just leave them on and still see close work without switching to reading glasses.

Durable, easy to clean, great cycling glasses
I used a pair of these on a recent 3100 mile/ 9 week cross country solo bike tour, from San Diego to San Augustine FL. I needed the 2.0 bifocal feature as I am 63 and require reading glasses to read my GPS and bike computer. Previously, I had cycled using planar bifocal reading glasses. I used these glasses perhaps 4-5 hours per day, 6 days per week. I would remove them at stops several times a day. These worked a lot better than my earlier framed bifocals: + The lenses wrap around, offering better eye protection. + I could adjust my bike mirror (which is mounted to my helmet) higher up, without the frame getting in the way (as with the framed reading glasses). This allowed me to see under the mirror, which is large (2.12" dia). + I could clean these with any type of paper towel or rest room paper (sometimes even with my bike shirt) without them getting scratched. I passed through 2 deserts on my ride, and there was a fair amount of dust. + The spring-loaded arms held up well. Others have tended to break off easily as one can be quite rough on them with all the taking off and replacing at stops. + The 2.0 bifocals work well. - One negative is due to their curvature, which is a common problem with all curved glasses. This makes them harder to store safely. Easy to squish in a bike bag. They come with a nice stretchy black tube which slides over the glasses. This has a clip. I ended up clipping the tube to my bike up front. The worked well, and avoided my squishing the glasses inside my bag. Unfortunately I lost these near the end of my trip so I am ordering another pair.

Great safety glasses, really love the bifocal for detailed shop work
I'll be honest, I hate wasting money on glasses because I break and abuse them. These are the first I've found that offer a wonderful balance between functionality, safety and looks too. I really like these. I keep a pair in my garage and another in my workshop. The safety glass feature makes them really nice when weed wacking, shooting guns or any other outdoor activity that requires safety glasses. In cases where I need darker lenses, Dewalt sells the same pair as sunglasses too. You can find those here: Dewalt DPG59-220C Reinforcer Rx-Bifocal 2.0 Smoke Lens High Performance Protective Safety Glasses with Rubber Temples and Protective Eyeglass Sleeve Due to the wrap around style, when going fast on a bike, motorcycle or ski boat, the shape keeps the wind out of my eyes and they don't tear [after all, doesn't it look bad to be riding my nice motorcycle down the rode with the appearance of crying?]. The added ability to read maps, take measurements, see my phone etc makes them all the better. I can choose between sun glasses type or clear and both work great. I give these 5 stars along with a good thumbs up!

Basically perfect
I love these glasses and they have all the features that I've always wished they had. a] The bifocal part of the lens is perfectly set to a full arm to slightly bent arm ratio so the average user shouldn't find a problem finding that comfort zone. b] The lenses wrap all the way around past the eyes, but with no distortion to the lens on the side c] Still very breathable. The lens part is bigger than what it has to be so that they can leave adequate gaps for airflow and still completely protect the eye. The frame actually follows right above a normal eyebrow line rather than just to the top of the eye. You cannot see any part of the frame while they are being worn... just lens, hence no blind spots. d] The frames only touch in 3 spots, the bridge of the nose and starting right above each ear. There is nothing touching anywhere else to stop airflow, cause sweat or get wet from sweat. Therefore, they stay dry. The only time these have been sweaty wet is if I lift them to the top of my head above the hairline, but all glasses do this for me when I'm working hard. e] The nose bridge is textured, but not in a way that you'd notice. They just don't slide down the nose. f] built in head-huggers - the yellow spots at the end of the temples are 100% functional, not for design. They are textured silicone that grip the skin right behind the ears. There is no slippage of these glasses no matter how sweating or fast I've been moving, meaning I don't have to free a hand to push them back up my nose. The only other ones that I've had with this benefit have been safety goggles with a strap, and those are entire other set of problems. f] Even the tops and bottoms of the temples are heavily textured. This doesn't come into contact with the face, but does provide the benefit of a more secure grip with they are put on or taken off the face, meaning they don't slip if you have sweaty or oily hands. Edit Update: I've had these things for a while now. I've also dropped them a number of times, and so far there's only one tiny scratch on the lens that I didn't even notice till I looked at them in the light for the purposes of making this update. The frames still fit snugly but comfortably to my head and I've never lost them off my face.

Good glases, not so good cover.
The safety glasses are just what I ordered and expected, I bought them for work. The cover to protect the lenses are about an inch to two inches too short an will not cover the entire lense. I expected much better from Dewalt on this. I guess there just trying to save a few buck on materials. I would have rather paid a dollor or two more for a cover that protected the intire lense. Now I have to purchase a case to keep them in when not in use. Thanks Dewalt!

Works As Advertised!
This is my second pair of these safety glasses. My first pair took a lot of abuse, and the frame finally cracked. But, the lens didn't scratch or shatter. The first pair lasted about three years. So, yeah, they go good.

Item delivered as described. But i may yet to get used to it. It makes me feel giddy switching from seeing far (looking up) and seeing near (looking down).

Not too bad.
I’m happy with these glasses. They fit well and are comfortable. I only gave 4 stars, as the magnified area is just a bit too small. Still very useful, and very handy to have in the workshop.
